Local file schema update! Expect approx. 50 new fields with granular data to be collected on: personnel who report offshore, step plan details of restructures, and anticipated Australian and global tax impacts of restructures. The changes won't go live until 2025, but this is definitely new territory in terms of granular data being standardised in the local file itself, rather than collected in the free-text Short Form Local File reports. One to watch for transfer pricing advisors. We will of course be updating TaxLodgic to help advisors and taxpayers navigate these granular queries more easily - more details on that as we get closer to go-live.
