Gender Equity Diversity & Inclusion Standards for Tech

About us

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Standards for Technology (and STEM). T-EDI Standards raise tech industry norms by defining best and leading practices across known systemic Diversity, Equity & Inclusion markers that specifically address the underrepresentation of women in digital technology jobs in Australia. Standards provide clarity and international alignment. The T-EDI Standards will help grow Australia’s tech workforce. T-EDI Standards promote policies and practices that enable women to participate and thrive in careers in technology and broader STEM jobs. T-EDI Standards employers model an industry-wide standard for other organisations to aspire to. The standards and criteria for participation have been developed based on a body of empirical evidence, industry data and research. The standards have been thoroughly interrogated by DEIB experts and developed in consultation with Australia’s leading industry bodies and organisations to align with international approaches.

Did you know that women represent 51% of the working population, but only 28% of Australia’s tech workforce? Created by Project F and endorsed by the TCA, the T-EDI Standards aim to change this by providing a clear, actionable pathway for tech companies to build gender equity from the ground up. This means addressing everything from recruitment practices to leadership opportunities, workplace culture, and transparency. This is a game-changer for companies looking to lead the way in diversity and inclusion- and to build better, more innovative teams in the process. By embracing these standards, organisations can not only improve their workplace culture but also enhance their employer brand and attract top talent from diverse backgrounds. It’s time for a tech industry that reflects the diversity of the world around us. For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/gA7UddYY #TEDIStandards #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenInTech
