Outside of being a Service Technician, I guess this means Sam Jacobs can probably add "storm chaser" to his resume too. Thanks to Sam's job, he gets to travel all around the state maintaining the network and fixing faults if they happen. That's when he snapped his ute having a bright idea somewhere across mid-north South Australia ⚡ 📷: Sam Jacobs

🐧 🚨 PESTO CALLS SANTA 🚨 🐧 📞 We paid SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium a visit and brought a payphone with us so the world’s favourite penguin could get his christmas wish list in. Visit any of our 14,000 payphones before Christmas and dial # HO HO HO (# 46 46 46) to speak to the big man in red.

Just spotted a coupla locals giving Santa a call! 🎅 Overhearing them, it sounded like these two narrowly avoided the naughty list but promise to continue spreading Christmas cheer across the Gascoyne Region. Kids (and birds) of all ages can head to any of our 14,000+ payphones and dial #HOHOHO (# 46 46 46) to speak to Santa.

🧝 Santa has sent one of his not-so-little helpers down under to show Aussie kids how they can call the north pole for free ahead of our charity weekend drive.   💰 For every free call made to Santa from one of our payphones across the weekend (December 14 – 15), we’ll donate $1 to Kids Helpline (yourtown) (up to a predetermined amount).   📞 Kids Helpline is one of Australia’s only 24/7 safety nets for kids, and this weekend’s donation drive will help provide funding for their dedicated counsellors who will be working around the clock this Christmas.   🎅 To get behind this initiative, kids (big and small) can simply head to any of our 14,000+ payphones and dial #HOHOHO (# 46 46 46) to speak to Santa.

Meet Dr Golnar Khomami. She’s been at Telstra 7 years, loves to travel, swim, run, and even volunteers to support education of disadvantaged kids in her spare time. Oh, and she has represented us at the last two World Radio Communication (WRC) conferences.   Basically, the WRC is a UN-based event where global members of the International Telecommunication Union come together to collaborate and update international Radio Regulations.   Dr Khomami's work helps pave the way for new mobile network technologies like satellite and even 6G services. Attending conferences like these is how we can try to ensure future networks meet the need of a growing Australia.    It’s not your average conference, but it’s not your average job either. Thanks Dr Khomami! We look forward to hearing how you go at the 2027 conference.
