Presenting the winners of our #NSW Space Discovery Program #student showcase! #Schools from across New South Wales convened at the Optus Business Centre in Macquarie Park to present their amazing work. From solutions to improve Earth Observation capabilities to antigravity exercise booths for #astronaut fitness, young #innovators and future entrepreneurs found some incredible uses for 3D printing #technology, tackling an array of #space-related problems. Our Peer Prize Winner, Samuel Gilbert Public School captured the attention of their fellow students, addressing the problem of sustaining human life on Mars by designing a hydro drill to provide access to drinking water. The drill is intended to collect and melt ice, filter the water and utilise a solar-powered boiler to remove any bacteria. Our Industry Prize Winner, St Bernadette's Primary School in Dundas Valley, impressed the judging panel with their designs for a drone-based system to deliver food into conflict zones, utilising space capability to coordinate emergency response and humanitarian aid. Congratulations to all participating schools, students and #teachers, and a big thank you to our program partners Investment NSW and Makers Empire for helping to connect this inspirational group of young students to future careers in Australian #space!
