International Astronautical Federation 'Connecting @ll Space People' The IAF was created in 1951 with the aim of advancing knowledge about space, and developing the application of space assets for the benefit of humanity. Today the IAF continues to foster dialogue between scientists, academics and the space industry around the world, and support international cooperation in all space-related activities. The Federation is the world’s leading space advocacy body with over 513 members, including space agencies and offices, industry, professional societies, associations, universities, museums and R&D organisations across 77 countries. More than 30 technical committees and 17 administrative committees support the Federation in its mission to advance knowledge about space, and to foster the development of space assets by facilitating global cooperation.

Call at this link: https://lnkd.in/eQGiaUm9 More info below ⬇ Every year the IAF IPMC (International Project/Programme Management Committee) organizes a Young Professionals Workshop with the goal to collect findings and recommendations that can help bridge the generational gap in the workplace and improve the way space projects are collectively executed. It is a great formative opportunity and a platform to promote exchange of ideas across generations. The workshop typically includes: 👥 several months of remote (online) networking and teamwork with peers from Space Organizations from all over the world 🌍 🌎 🌏 👩🎓 remote (online) professional development activities, e.g. Expert Talks, Project Management training sessions, soft skills development opportunities 🚀 a 1-day in-person Final Event, co-located with the IAC (for the upcoming edition: Sydney, Australia), in which Young Professionals can present and discuss their team results to a larger audience.   • The Call for Hosting the 79th International Astronautical Congress is open! The IAC is held in different countries of the world with an IAF member organization serving as its Host. In recent years, the event attracted between 5,000 and 10,000 participants including more than 40% students and young professionals. The IAF is seeking proposals from IAF member organizations interested in serving as the host of the 79th IAC which will be held in 2028. The deadline to submit your proposal is the 14 February 2025.   • The #IAC2025 Calls are now OPEN! 🚀 You are all kindly invited to contribute to the programme of the 76th International Astronautical Congress which will be held in Sydney, Australia from 29 September to 3 October 2025 under the theme “Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth".    The guide “How to Engage at IAC” includes timetables and application processes, listed by proposal type. This document provides stakeholders and potential applicants with appropriate and high-quality information about the programme, the options and conditions for the development of their proposal ideas into full-fledged proposals and the assessment and selection procedures for proposals. For general information on who can apply, how to apply and FAQs, please see the respective sections.   To avoid the allocation of several numbers for the same proposal, each proposal can be submitted only once. If you have any doubts or need confirmation about the most appropriate format type for your proposal (Plenary, HLL, IAF GNF or Special Session), please contact us at support@iafastro.org. It marked the 75th time that we gather in one place, from all over the globe and unite around our shared passion for space 🚀 This year's motto, "Responsible Space for Sustainability”, relied on embracing all stakeholders from the space community and beyond. We can proudly announce that IAC 2024 has been the largest IAC ever held in history with more than 11 200 delegates from 120 countries! Thanks to everyone that joined us in Milan and made the 75th IAC so special! 💫

    The inaugural IAF Global Space Leaders Summit organized in conjunction with the 75th International Astronautical Congress IAC2024 saw the presence of 60 Heads of Agencies and offices, representing 55 different countries. This historic event was the largest gathering ever of Heads of Space Agencies! Space Leaders from well-established space nations and emerging space countries joined the Summit to exchange views on "Space Capabilities for Sustainability on Earth."  Being the first but not the last, the IAF is looking forward to continue this series of important gatherings of senior leaders in the upcoming IACs #IAC2024
