Reminiscent of the Art Deco era, the Echo table designed by Adam Goodrum Studio presents as an envelope with its sides folded into the centre. When opened, its size is doubled, revealing strong geometry. Despite its inspiration, it is thoroughly representative of the 21st century and our modern lives. Warm tones reflecting the Australian landscape are celebrated in this collaboration. In its smaller state, the table is quiet and cool, embracing Laminex Green Slate and Bluestone. Last week, Whispr had the pleasure of celebrating a very special upcoming collaboration between our esteemed client, Laminex Australia, and leading industrial designer, Adam Goodrum Studio. The event took place at the newly opened Saint Peter restaurant (Josh Niland), where guests enjoyed an exquisite seven-course degustation along with drinks and conversation. We would like to extend our profound gratitude to Saint Peter for their fabulous culinary creations and to the Stone Willow Studio for the stunning floral arrangements featured throughout the space. This collaboration between Laminex and Adam Goodrum speaks to the  Last week's celebration was truly unforgettable, and the Whispr team cannot wait for you to see the exciting projects that are on the horizon! 

Laminex is 90 years old, and a lot has changed in that time. How we use our homes, spaces, and furniture has evolved and taken on new meanings. We’ve seen customers and clients transform their homes in wonderful, functional, and beautiful ways, and the table is no exception. Redesigned through constant conversation and collaboration with their client, Cantilever Interiors have reimagined this Northcote home into a bright, sun lit space that honours the historical bones of the building. While Leonard Joel Auctions required an updated gallery space to suit their catalogue of high value items, the renovation also extended into the 'behind the scenes' of the venue. The reimagined kitchen and offices continue the moody feel of the gallery while maintaining functionality and ergonomic design practices that are central to the team's success. “We needed to think in design terms other than the aesthetic [...] functionality is the heart of their business and the word robust was repeatedly mentioned, and we were like, yeah, everyone says this, but then we saw it. Originally redesigned as a country weekender, this light and quirky cottage features a nature-inspired palette, with green and white paired with wooden floors and textural accents throughout. Flowing on from the lines of the flooring and ceiling, many of the walls in Alice and Marlon’s home feature Surround by Laminex profiles, adding a tactile element and enhancing the cottage feel throughout. In our South Melbourne showroom, visitors are welcomed into an intuitive, tactile, and collaborative space, designed to help them find the best materials for their next project.
