We’re thrilled to share that TheirCare recently attended an international conference on Extended Education, where we presented Generation Connection—our unique program that bridges generations by bringing older adults and young children together for meaningful activities like billy kart building, exploring heritage items, and engaging in storytelling workshops. Our very own Brody Hollis, the visionary behind this program, shared insights on our achievements and presented our research conducted in collaboration with Griffith University. The conference brought perspectives from around the world, with contributions from Iceland, Japan, South Africa, and Germany. Topics ranged from action research and cultural diversity to supporting social and emotional learning and the exciting role of adventure playgrounds.
