Our Sydney team recently had a gathering with our community to celebrate our first year back on Gadigal lands. It was a beautiful evening of building connections. We were honoured to have Gomeroi man Uncle Raymond Weatherall of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land COuncil to welcome us to Country with a smoking ceremony. We were deeply moved to learn about Bubbly's family, lineage, and culture. Warmest thanks you to everyone who joined us. And an extended thank you to everyone in our community in NSW. It's been a joy to be connected with you all and collaborate on impact this year.

In partnership with NSW Health Infrastructure, we engaged LGBTIQA+ community members to redesign how NSW Healthcare Facilities built environments can foster inclusivity for their communities. Here we explore 'spaces to hide'. Spaces for privacy where participants can choose to disclose as much (or as little) of their identities was an important factor in creating inclusive facilities. "One thing I'd encourage is for people to trust the process, not overthink it. Just do your best to apply it. Once you experience the benefits of inclusive design, it will become a central piece of the way that you think about work and the way you think about solving problems." - Damon O'Sullivan Download our guide to inclusive design https://lnkd.in/dk23cw4q #inclusivedesign

We had a brilliant time at the Digital NSW Showcase last week. We are incredibly proud to have co-created a suite of engaging and accessible resources with Our Watch and Women with Disabilities Victoria. The resources adapt key concepts, principles and actions from Changing the landscape, a national resource to prevent violence against women and girls with disabilities. This behind the scenes video highlights how the expertise and experience of women with lived experience of disability was central to the development of these plans and resources. Their participation is contributing to an Australia where women and girls with disabilities are safe, valued, and equal. By working together at all levels of society, led by governments, organisations and workplaces, we can change the story in Australia and stop violence against women and girls with disabilities before it starts. Access the resources at https://lnkd.in/gicUBk8B Video series produced with Banalarama Studios.
