UAM Tec is committed to supporting our community and advocating for the integrity of our water infrastructure. We recognize the importance of transparency and accountability in safeguarding Melbourne’s critical systems. We stand ready to collaborate on meaningful solutions that benefit all Victorians. [Read Shawn’s full statement below.]
As the founder of UAM Tec—and as a father—I feel a deep responsibility to ensure our community’s future is built on trust, reliability, and accountability. We are here to help and to stand with our community as we move forward with unwavering determination and careful optimism. The recent news coverage (https://lnkd.in/gSFp5YyH) and petition (https://lnkd.in/gRN9xDjX) have struck a personal chord with me. Melbourne Water, under the oversight of the Water Minister and the current Labor Government, has been entrusted with protecting and maintaining our water, sewer, and stormwater systems. Yet, trust must be earned through transparency and action. I stand firmly in support of greater accountability—not just as a business leader, but as someone who cares deeply about the wellbeing of our families and future generations. We all deserve infrastructure that works for us, safeguards our health, and ensures a secure future for our children. My commitment is to constructive dialogue and real solutions. If Melbourne Water and the Water Minister are willing, I am open to working together to drive the meaningful change our community urgently needs. Let’s move forward with integrity, and a shared vision for a stronger, more resilient future. #civilengineering Melbourne Water #melbourne #victoria #australia Gayle Tierney MP
