Celebrating Stories and Sounds That Inspire 🎶✨ We were deeply moved by this powerful feature on the Ripple Effect Band in Rolling Stone Australia. As the first all-female Indigenous band from the Northern Territory, Ripple Effect weaves Yolŋu Matha and English lyrics with captivating melodies, delivering stories that celebrate love, care, and community. Their latest track, Loving and Caring, is more than music—it's a reminder of the strength found in connection, the beauty of cultural expression, and the power of storytelling to bridge generations. At weavr, we believe in amplifying voices that inspire and transform, and Ripple Effect Band is a shining example of how music can keep culture alive and thriving. If you haven't yet, take a moment to listen, reflect, and celebrate the incredible diversity and talent within our First Nations communities. 🌏❤️

🤡 Gammin: something or somebody that is lacking authenticity, or simply fake. 😁 Deadly: excellent, or very good, in the same way that "wicked", "sick" or "awesome" is used by many young English speakers. 💡So what is a gammin strategy? A gammin strategy is one that has been built for all the right reasons and best intentions but has no actual commitment to modify business fundamentals, aka your business DNA. A gammin strategy is usually one that is used as a ✔️checklist and not as a plan to change the way an organisation operates for the better 🌱. 💡Then what’s a deadly strategy? A deadly strategy is one that is aligned to the business's fundamental ways of operating 🌱and future goals 🎯. It’s one they are committed to, because they believe in the outcome. So why do Gammin Strategies occur? 👉 Put simply = a lack of accountability. Check out our latest edition of the weavr grapevine where we unpack how gammin strategies occur and how to fix / avoid them!: https://buff.ly/40KTJyq (Don't forget to subscribe to receive regular content!)

🎶 Last Friday was Aus Music T-Shirt Day! 🎸👕 Music holds a sacred place in Aboriginal Culture, serving as a powerful expression of identity, connection, and storytelling. 🌏✨ Since the beginning of time, Aboriginal Peoples have used music to communicate stories, pass down knowledge, and connect with Country and Ancestors. 🪘🖤 This shirt, modelled by one of our Co-Founders, is for 📻 Uncle Archie Roach and Auntie Ruby Hunter, whose gifts to our People will never be forgotten. 💖🎤 Their legacy continues to inspire and resonate deeply. 🙌🌟

"You must straighten while you're young 🌱... Children can be crooked too, we're not fully ready for the world, but if the process of making us straight is done properly, then there is no reason why we can't hit our mark 🎯 Wise words from a very young Uncle 🌞 ! All you mob, use your mookas 👂 Have an awesome weekend!! Thanks @SNAICC - National Voice for our Children Original post: https://buff.ly/3Z5febS

By now, you would have heard how much we admire, respect and love @Louisa Warren. Seeing her story featured by CSIRO, warmed our hearts 🫶 ➡️ A lot of the weavr functionality, was because of her. Her determination to find a solution that could help organisations manage their Strategies better, maximising the impact for Indigenous Communities, is what has made weavr possible. "This is not a typical 9-to-5 job. It’s a career that has the power to create change and forge a legacy. I always think about the sacrifices made by our Elders who had to protest for the opportunities we now have. I strive to do my best and make a difference when I show up to work every day. I love being out in the community, talking to people and learning from them." 💚🖤💙🤍 Meet Louisa: https://buff.ly/48UDUaf Original Post: https://buff.ly/48Knrp7

We spent this week at the Reconciliation Conference, connecting with so many people working towards Closing the Gap for First Nations people. It is always energising and heart warming to see everyone, and hear all of your stories, learnings, challenges, ideas, suggestions and everything in between 🫶! This year’s conference, the first since the referendum, was very significant, as we are navigating one of the most challenging periods faced for the Reconciliation and wider Social Impact sector, marked by: 🔸cutbacks, 🔸de-prioritisation, 🔸retractions of previous commitments, 🔸and a big general sombre feeling of uncertainty We're currently navigating a defining time, where words 🗣️ are easily accommodated, leaving tangible ✅ actions, as the only thing that we can hold on to. This was echoed by many this week, wanting to increase the focus on stronger commitments, accountability, visibility and measuring impact - in collaboration with mob👏 aka weavr... We even got mentioned on the Accountability session 😜 An unmet hope from many in the sector this week, for: 🔸tangible guidance, 🔸actionable steps and 🔸concrete direction, is something that was unfortunately not present, and in such crucial times as the ones that we are currently navigating, it is what was needed, now more than ever, in this occasion from the leaders for Reconciliation in Australia. We're looking forward to seeing you at our weavr Demo session next week, or any of the upcoming scheduled sessions

It's been over 2 years since 15-year-old Noongar Yamatji boy Cassius Turvey died in 2022. Cassius was walking home from school when he was attacked on the street in Middle Swan with his friends. Yesterday was a special day, as Cassius' favorite day of the year was Halloween. The memorial plaque below was was unveiled in Halloween last year, where the Turvey family encouraged those who attended to dress in their best Halloween costumes in his memory. Cassius' story needs to be known and remembered by everyone. This is why #reconciliation needs to change, this is why we do what we do at weavr. #Forever15 Forever deadly Cassius ❤️💛🖤 Check Mama's on a Mission - Mechelle Turvey episode in Australia Story
