The perfect partner for a theme on Excellence, Patterson Cheney Cars and Trucks is a family-owned leading car and dealership group in Victoria that has been around for 109 years. They were a major partner for our Women in Automotive event last week ‘Celebrating Excellence’. An award-winning dealership Patterson Cheney pride themselves on how they treat their 800+ staff and were recognised by the VACC's AIA awards as Automotive Employer of the Year in 2023 and 2024. We invited their Customer Service Manager, Rachel Vitale to talk with WinA Director Nadine Armstrong on what makes an employer of choice. Engaging the crowd with her passion for her job and her company, Vitale opened with the statement that she will work at Patterson Cheney for the rest of her life! She proceeded to enthral guests with her inspiring advice, urging women to set boundaries, engage in robust conversations and never shy away from asking for what they want. She praised Patterson Cheney for fostering a workplace culture that adapts to the evolving needs of today’s workforce, particularly with flexible working options. We all learnt something from her passion and advice. Thank you for being a part of our event and inspiring us all! #womeninautomotive #womeninbusiness #pattersoncheney #strongertogether
