The Enchanted Woods | A Tropical Escape of Courts and Meandering Paths https://lnkd.in/g-dwzSuT A landscape design project in Chikhli, Gujarat, exemplifies how thoughtful design choices can transform a 40,000 sqft plot with existing dense orchard area into a sanctuary that complements the natural environment and engages the senses. Designing landscapes is an artful blend of natural beauty and intentional human intervention, shaping spaces that tell a story, evoke emotions, and serve functional needs. Landscape design encompasses much more than mere planting; it involves orchestrating textures, colors, heights, and spatial forms to create an immersive experience. #landscapearchitecture #india #Chikhli #Gujarat

Student Project | The Spring of Oasis https://lnkd.in/grqbcs7K The Marrakesh Khettaras Linear Oasis rises from the arid soils—a gesture not merely of restoration but of revival. It draws from the heart of the oasis, embracing a global vision where these ancient channels bloom once more as a solution to modern challenges: water scarcity, ecological collapse, and the relentless spread of cities. Student Design Team: Shan He, Siyi Wu and Yu Zhang – Harvard Graduate School of Design, Master of Landscape Architecture Program.

Xi’an Tree creates a gathering point at Xi’an Centre Culture Business District https://lnkd.in/gxj-yddB Xi’an Tree, a vertical park, creates a natural gathering point. Visitors can ascend its 56 elevated ‘petals’, or terraces where a sequence of cascading gardens follows the biomes of the ancient Silk Route from the alpine tundra to the dry steppe. A new district designed by Heatherwick studio has opened in Xi’an, honouring the Chinese city’s legacy of craftmanship and ceramics.
