As we wrap up another incredible year, we’ve taken some time to reflect on the milestones, successes, and growth that ZED has experienced in 2024. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our clients who put their belief and trust in us to support them in navigating difficult challenges and change, and assisting them as they impressively grew and evolved their organisations.   In 2024 our team of talented consultants, with the support of our valued subcontractors, completed 95 unique projects, largely in the areas of strategic planning, M&A support, financial turnarounds, program reviews, organisational structure reviews, data analysis and financial modelling.    We’ve had the pleasure of working with 16 new clients from industries including healthcare, disability, transport and local government and had our first opportunity working in the US for a client in Dallas. We’ve also been incredibly grateful to continue supporting 27 of our amazing, longstanding clients. Excitingly we’re already looking ahead to new adventures with many of our existing, and new clients, in 2025.   We also want to acknowledge our hard-working team and their incredible efforts and dedication throughout the year. Shout out to Stirling Hospital for hosting an excellent quiz night last Saturday! The ZED team were grateful to be invited to join in the fun to help raise funds for the hospital and support engagement with the local Hills community. The night included lots of interesting and quite challenging questions… did you know that YAHOO stands for ‘Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle’?! Tom and Nat had their creative skills put to the test in paper plane and giraffe balloon making competitions and everyone went home with a smile on their face and a bottle (or two) of Adelaide Hills wine from the wine wall.   Our relationship with this incredible organisation began earlier this year when the hospital engaged ZED to support them with a strategic planning initiative following the decision, supported by the community, to remain operating from their current site.   ZED worked closely with their team to understand the current state and identify opportunities to move towards a more a sustainable operating model that will enable Stirling Hospital to continue providing exceptional services to their patients well into the future. #strategicplanning #sustainableoperatingmodel

A shout-out to teachers worldwide... Happy World Teachers' Day! Today, we celebrate the dedicated educators who tirelessly create engaging and meaningful learning experiences for our youth. Educators are an invaluable resource, imparting critical skills and knowledge, and inspiring students through guidance, support, and mentorship.   At ZED, we’re proud of our longstanding relationship and collaboration with the South Australian Department for Education. Over the years our data teams have worked alongside their workforce specialists to inform attraction and retention strategies for educators which are truly data-driven.    Within our team, we’ve welcomed a number of skilled individuals who started their careers as educators. Introducing Alicia Murray -- Manager at ZED Alicia joined the ZED team in October 2023 as a health sector expert, bringing 12 years’ experience in the public health sector to our Health and Human Services team. Alicia has a wealth of experience in strategy, governance, and service redesign, as well as project and program management. Alicia’s held various senior leadership roles within the Department for Health and Wellbeing where she oversaw the evaluation, development and implementation of key statewide strategies, initiatives, and service models, including My Home Hospital and the SA Community Care Program. In her 12 months at ZED, Alicia has made a significant impact overseeing numerous South Australian health program and governance reviews and supporting Preventive Health SA with the development of bold and innovative strategic plans. What a team – what a night! The ZED team recently celebrated the successful completion of a few key jobs with a fabulous team night out. We started our night by rolling up our sleeves and channeling our inner athlete, testing our fitness finesse and problem-solving skills at Adelaide’s own Hijinx Hotel puzzle rooms. We then enjoyed a glorious feast prepared by the talented crew at Sofia’s Bistro on Hutt Street. Your mental health matters 🌟 Happy World Mental Health Day! Each year, October 10 is dedicated to recognising the importance of raising awareness of, and having conversations about, mental health. This years’ theme “It’s time to prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace” strongly resonates with the ZED team because we continuously endeavor to build a workplace that values and supports wellbeing for all staff. Some of the ways ZED promotes mental health and wellbeing in the workplace is through supporting flexible work arrangements, advocating for an inclusive and supportive environment, encouraging a lunchtime out of office walk in the fresh air, creating opportunities for social connection, and a strong emphasis on the importance of disconnecting after hours. Hi there and welcome to any new followers 👋 it’s great to have you onboard! We often get asked what it is we do at ZED, so we wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about ourselves. We’re a tight-knit team of 20 Adelaide and Melbourne-based consultants who work with a variety of NFPs, government agencies, and private organisations, predominantly in the areas of health, disability, aged care, education, and social services. Throughout the past 19 years we have learnt that no two jobs are exactly the same – there is no such thing as a ‘one size fits all’ approach to anything we do. We are change facilitators, improvement instigators, and curious thinkers. We work collaboratively with our clients to understand their biggest pain points and needs – so together, we can find tailored, meaningful solutions, that can transform their business and ways of working.
