Omnia Technologies Pacific located in Braeside is looking for a full-time Accountant.

Overview

Reporting to and supporting the Financial Controller, the Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analysing financial information, and providing support for decision-making, and ensures compliance with accounting standards, laws, and company policies.

Salary is between $74000 to $80000 per annum.

Task & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record Maintenance: Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: prepare monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts for Financial Controller review.
• Accounts Receivable: prepare ageing receivables report, monitor outstanding receivables and undertake outstanding invoice collections.
• Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate fortnightly payment of invoices.
• Bank Reconciliations: maintain accurate and complete bank records and reconciliations.
• Payroll: prepare and process accurate and timely fortnightly payroll using ADP. Prepare and post all relevant payroll journals. Ensure all compliances requirements are met (superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG payments).
• Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis of financial data, trends, and performance to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit monthly BAS returns, work with external advisor to ensure annual FBT return and annual company income tax return is prepared and lodged with the ATO.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Audit and Compliance: Support audit processes, liaise with auditors, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Reconciliation and Control: Perform periodic reconciliations, review accounts, and implement control measures to maintain financial accuracy.
• Financial Systems and Software: Utilise financial software and systems to streamline processes and ensure accuracy in financial management.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist in special projects, financial analysis, or other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
  
  

Qualification & Experience

You need to have a relevant Bachelor degree or Higher and at least 12 months work experience.
