Our Accounting and CFO Advisory team specialises in providing insights which help our clients make better decisions. We work with our brand partners on everything finance from weekly cash flow forecasting to investment analysis, all while ensuring core compliance obligations are met in a timely manner. Most importantly, we deliver reliable, clear-cut insights that make a difference to financial and commercial outcomes.


You will be working as part of a multi-disciplined finance team on rounded client engagements in areas such as financial and management reporting, tax compliance, tax planning and occasionally in corporate finance (M&A, capital raises, due diligence). Along with gaining fantastic experience working with some trailblazing consumer clients, you’ll get access to training and development opportunities, as well as receiving support to undertake further study.

 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you:  

We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:   

  • CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) 
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation or a related field
  • Skills in financial reporting, tax compliance and planning, management accounting or budgeting
  • Excellent skills in developing finance and/or accounting insights
  • Well-developed relationship management skills including teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent technical tax and accounting skills (experience with inventory accounting will be advantageous)
  • A strong work ethic and a hunger for development opportunities
  • High levels of proficiency with Xero
  • Background in professional services is preferred but not essential


The Role

Your responsibilities reflect the rounded nature of our work and will include:

  • Assisting with development and delivery of insightful analysis including cash flow forecasts, detailed month end reporting packs and other ad hoc analysis.
  • Assisting with compiling budgets and forecasts.
  • Assisting with client growth strategies and strategic planning throughout the year.
  • Preparation of year-end financial statements, tax reconciliations, income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts.
  • Manage fixed asset registers and prepare asset reports.
  • Preparation of BAS/IAS, FBT, GST returns.
  • Tax planning and compliance matters.
  • Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory authorities on behalf of our clients.
  • Assisting in corporate advisory engagements.
