The Executive Assistant plays a key role in providing executive support for three Commissioners in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission (MHWC). This involves providing confidential secretarial and administrative assistance and ensuring the effective delivery of the Commission's objectives.
The role reports to the Manager, Executive Services and sits within the Executive Services Team.
About Us
The MHWC is an accountability body in the mental health and wellbeing system established under the new Act and recommended by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. The new MHWC includes Commissioners with lived experience of mental illness or psychological distress and lived experience as a family member, carer, or supporter.

How You'll Make a Difference
- Passionate about meaningful work and contributing towards the reform of Victoria's mental health system.
- A proactive self-starter with proven demonstrated experience in providing the full range of executive support functions to a senior executive
- Highly collaborative and cool under pressure; adept at juggling competing demands when no day is the same
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to write in a clear, fluent and concise manner and engage with a range of different people.
- Experience in providing high-level confidential support to a senior executive, preferably in a statutory authority or similar environment.
- Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to identify processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal and identify more and less critical activities
