We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Financial Accountant to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support our growth by managing critical financial operations and ensuring the financial integrity of our business. The role includes responsibility for financial reporting across multiple branches in Melbourne and Sydney.

Role Purpose
As a Financial Accountant at 212F, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of our organisation by managing accounting, budgeting, compliance, and cash flow processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will also support our leadership team by providing data-driven insights and helping streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
o Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring timely processing of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.
o Manage bank reconciliations, with oversight of the Accounts Assistant's reconciliation work.
o Monitor accounts receivable and implement escalation processes to maintain cash flow.
o Handle foreign exchange payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with exchange rates.
o Collaborate with Account Managers on job reconciliation, tracking project costs and revenues.
o Monthly Payroll processing (30 + staff) and year end compliance,
o Manage company credit card transactions, staff expenses, and petty cash.
o Adhoc reporting.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
o Provide insights and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Variance Analysis
o Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to enhance financial performance.
Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
o Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, PAYG, and corporate filings.
o Prepare for and support external audits, maintaining accurate documentation.
Cash Flow Management
Oversee cash flow planning and conduct cash flow analysis.
Process Improvement & System Optimisation
o Identify process improvement opportunities, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.
Leadership & Support
o Support and mentor the Accounts Assistant and coordinate with offshore administrative support.
o Provide financial guidance to business divisions and maintain vendor relationships with telephone, internet, cleaner and landlord.
Skills & Qualifications
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; CPA or CA (or working towards certification) is preferred.
o Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting.
o Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
o High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
o Analytical mindset - strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
