It’s game day! We’re on the lookout for a confident and proactive Financial Accountant who thrives on working with financial information, making informed suggestions, and presenting practical solutions.
As Financial Accountant, you'll leverage your expertise with accounting standards, compliance, tax and payroll to prepare month-end accounts and deliver financial information and reports for the business and our leadership and executive teams. Your ability to interpret financial data, provide insightful recommendations, and confidently present solutions will be key to your success in this role. If you’re highly organised, detail-oriented, and ready to embrace challenges this is the role for you!
Your Key Responsibilities
Complete external audit requirements, including statutory financial statements.
Execute monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow and analyse variances.
Consolidate related entities and provide monthly reporting.
Prepare inter-company reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions and balances.
Review monthly reconciliations with appropriate documentation.
Handle Business Activity Statements and compliance.
Assess and work closely with finance stakeholders in relation to the adoption of new accounting standards including the documentation of accounting changes, process and/or system impacts and change implementations.
Process fortnightly payroll and related reporting.
Develop, communicate, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Provide support and mentorship to the finance team.
Identify and implement process improvements.
What You Will Bring
CPA or CA qualified (or close to completion) (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
Demonstrated experience consolidating and preparing financial accounts.
Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
Knowledge of accounting regulations, tax and payroll.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
A team player mentality and ability to juggle priorities like a pro.
