Your Role

If you are a driven and detail-oriented finance professional looking to take your career to the next level this is the role for you. This vertically integrated, export-oriented business offers a challenging blend of complexity and exposure to all aspects of the businesses value drivers.

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial accounting and reporting functions across the group. This is a high-impact position, offering the chance to work across multiple teams and sites, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic improvements.

Key accountabilities,

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group.
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Maintain compliance with all statutory reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, managing the annual audit process and addressing audit findings.
  • Assist in the preparation of group budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and their implications for the group.
  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the integration of new systems or acquisitions into group financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.

About You

To be considered for this fast-paced, hands on role you will be CPA or CA qualified with a relevant business or accounting degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume, complex accounting environment.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Mirco Soft Business Central financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting policies, procedures, and multicompany/currency consolidation.
  • A systems-oriented mindset with experience in system implementation and change management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven experience in coaching staff and building effective stakeholder relationships.
