Head of Mergers and Acquisitions

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of M&A to join our client’s team. This leadership position is crucial in driving business growth and innovation, identifying new opportunities, and executing strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in business development, strategy formulation, and relationship management, particularly within the financial services and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic advice and insights to senior leadership on business opportunities and market conditions.
• Lead the development and implementation of M&A strategies, including the creation of new business ventures through partner selection, inorganic growth, and acquisitions.
• Develop and negotiate commercial terms for new business opportunities.
• Act as a liaison between various departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication across the business.
• Drive the development and delivery of business cases, presentations, and proposals that clearly articulate value propositions.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in M&A, with a strong focus on strategic thinking and leadership.
• Experience in a top-tier investment bank is a must.
• Proven experience in financial services, retail and consumer.
• A qualification in accounting, legal, or finance.
• Exceptional relationship and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives.
• End to end M&A transaction management and financial modelling.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
