The Opportunity


The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Program Manager will define and implement a roadmap of enterprise-wide transformation across the business that will ensure best practice, systems, process, leadership and culture.


This transformational role requires a combination of strategic and operational HSE capability and strong program management experience. Key accountabilities will include:


  • Strategic & Operational Transformation Leadership: Working with leadership, operational and enterprise transformation delivery teams to define and implement an HSE roadmap of change that will deliver best practice, systems, processes and culture at both an enterprise and operational level.
  • Program Management: Demonstrating a track record of successful HSE program management, including experience defining a transformation roadmap, delivery planning and scheduling, budget management, matrix stakeholder management, delivery execution, risk and issues management and status reporting.
  • Change Management: Collaborating, innovating and delivering a practical and pragmatic change that effectively embeds new ways of working.
  • Performance & Reporting: Measuring performance against objectives to ensure strategies are delivered on budget, timelines are met and risks are managed proactively.


To Be Successful


You will leverage a track record of HSE transformation and program delivery. To be successful, you will demonstrate:


  • Tertiary qualifications and certificates in Health, Safety and Environment as well as project management disciplines.
  • 15 years + leading health, safety and wellbeing enterprise transformation programs for complex enterprise organisations.
  • Experience presenting, engaging and building constructive relationships with diverse audiences, from operations to executive level.
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary safety concepts, theories and business enablers with the ability to bring a lens of what good looks like.
  • Experience implementing the latest HSE technologies to drive best practice and culture change.
  • Ideally experience in Transport, Logistics / Warehousing or related heavy industry so that you can hit the ground running.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the HSW legislative frameworks across all jurisdictions.
