Legal Counsel - APAC - Energy Storage

I am currently working with an International Battery Energy Storage Developer and Asset Owner who are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their inhouse team here in Australia.

You will work closely with the Head of Legal across the full project life cycle of assets, also collaborating with the wider business across project finance, onboarding development pipelines and day-day business operational contracts, where you will also gain exposure to International Project Exposure.

What you need:

• Strong background in Energy/Infrastructure Projects.
• Experience in Project Finance across Energy Projects
• 5+ years PQE in a similar industry.
• Ideally prior experience working on projects across the APAC region.

Working as part of in the inhouse legal team will include;

• Collaborating with legal team members globally to develop new processes and best practices to strengthen legal risk management, compliance and operational efficiency for the business.
• Engaging and managing relationships with external counsel to optimize legal support, APAC in all relevant jurisdictions.
• Identifying, explaining and helping to mitigate legal risks and assisting project teams with obtaining necessary internal and board level approvals.
• Providing legal support to APAC, including regional and country-specific service contracts, intragroup services/funding agreements and a wide range of commercial contracts.
