Legal Counsel

We are partnering with a global renewable energy business that are looking to grow their legal team. They are looking to hire a new Legal Counsel that has experience in construction disputes and project delivery.

As a Legal Counsel, you will work as part of a well-trained, high performing team which supports this global business in the ANZ region. This is an exciting, forward-thinking renewables business that is looking to make a positive change.

You will develop your legal and commercial skills through exposure to a wide variety of legal tasks, providing the business units, who will rely on your expertise, with in-depth project delivery and disputes experience. This role will provide learning opportunities in the renewables space and allow you to develop your back-end skillset further whilst also upskilling in front-end matters.

What type of person will be successful?

• Admitted as a lawyer in Australia;
• Between 3-5 years PQE in project delivery and construction disputes;
• Some in-house experience would be beneficial but not essential;
• Excellent verbal communication skills with all levels of stakeholders;
• Strong negotiation skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues;
• Commercial mindset and a drive to deliver on high standards; and
• A willingness to work independently with little supervision.
