Management Accountant

Hays is excited to be partnering with this leading construction manufacturing company based in Melbourne CBD. There is now an opportunity for a commercial Management Accountant to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis!

Your new role

You will be working within a specialist business unit alongside the Finance team, reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager.

Duties

• Business partnering with sales and operations to ensure ongoing improvement and communication of results
• Assist with commercial pricing decisions by helping build pricing models for tenders
• Contribute to long-term modelling
• Develop, monitor and report on profit improvement projects
• Provide timely and high quality advice and analysis on management accounting
• Support the commercial business with budget/forecast activity, including system input and analysis
• Conduct BU P&L reviews and preparing and reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Proactively drive continuous improvement of accounting processes

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need to be CA/CPA qualified with 3-5 years experience, ideally some experience in a similar role. Culture and skills fit is more important than industry background, however, experience in manufacturing will be highly regarded. Additionally, you will possess a proactive and adaptable attitude.
