Role: Business Analyst

Location: Melbourne

Job description:

• Drive business workshops with channels, core systems' and other stakeholders to gather business requirements for developing the product / project backlog in the payments domain
• Prepare user stories / functional specification document and ensure completeness
• Conduct walkthrough’ sessions with business stakeholders to clarify and confirm user stories / functional specification document
• Prepare and / or aid the preparation of test cases in line with user stories / functional specifications
• Provide clarifications to the development and testing team as and when required

Skills Required

• 7 – 10 years of relevant experience and hands on knowledge in core payments processing for retail and corporate banking customers
• Exposure to payments processing and clearing systems from multiple geographies is highly desirable. Exposure to Singapore FAST preferable.
• Hands on expertise in payment messages such as SWIFT, ISO20022
• Hands on expertise in at least one leading payments processing products such as Fundtech GPP, FIS Clear2Pay, Dovetail, Volante etc. is highly desirable
• Knowledge and experience in requirements engineering – requirements elicitation, requirements elaboration, requirement analysis, requirement translation, requirement documentation, requirement communication
• Assist in defining the business problem and the business solution in line with appropriate best practice, governance standards and methodologies
• Exposure to agile ways of working
• A good understanding of service oriented architecture, including concepts around API, Micro-Services etc. is highly desirable
• Excellent good oral and written communication skills
