What You Will Do
- Lead and develop the Payroll Team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.
- Oversee daily payroll workflows and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation.
- Stay ahead of changes in taxation, superannuation, and statutory obligations.
- Maintain payroll systems, lead upgrades, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Serve as the key advisor on payroll matters for employees and managers.
- Collaborate with People and Culture, Finance, and IT to align payroll with organisational goals.
- Mitigate payroll risks, ensure audit readiness, and maintain data security.
- Provide insights to senior management on payroll impacts on budgets and workforce planning.
- Proven experience leading a payroll team in a dynamic environment.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, legislation, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities to develop and inspire a high-performing team.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A successful Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) is required as part of the pre-employment process.
