What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop the Payroll Team to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee daily payroll workflows and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation.
  • Stay ahead of changes in taxation, superannuation, and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain payroll systems, lead upgrades, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Serve as the key advisor on payroll matters for employees and managers.
  • Collaborate with People and Culture, Finance, and IT to align payroll with organisational goals.
  • Mitigate payroll risks, ensure audit readiness, and maintain data security.
  • Provide insights to senior management on payroll impacts on budgets and workforce planning.


What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience leading a payroll team in a dynamic environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, legislation, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities to develop and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Pre-employment Requirements

  • A successful Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) is required as part of the pre-employment process.
