Procurement Manager

Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville, VIC head office. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role will play a crucial part in leading and managing the procurement team to deliver strategic direction and drive commercial value for our operations.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and managing the procurement team and key categories at Sugar Australia, while providing sound strategic direction to the function.
• Working more broadly across Wilmar business unit procurement teams to deliver value.
• Understanding the end-to-end supply chain for key categories to identify opportunities to deliver cost reduction.
• Leading the allocated direct and indirect procurement categories with a focus on identifying and implementing cost and risk reduction initiatives.
• Delivering, analysing, and evaluating tender documentation for nominated categories.
• Managing contract compliance and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Maintaining and continuously improving the Purchasing SAP system in conjunction with the broader Wilmar businesses to enhance operational efficiency.

What we're wanting you to bring to the table:

This role is ideally suited to someone with strong commercial awareness and leadership capabilities. You should have:

• A tertiary qualification in Business/Supply Chain/Procurement.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Procurement leadership role.
• Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.
• Proven commercial and financial acumen with a focus on driving value.
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions.
• A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a positive disposition.
