We Are Charlotte are excited to be partnering with Future Advisory in finding their next awesome Senior Accountant to join their Narre Warren team. They are a team of number-loving, future-thinking accountants dedicated to putting their clients' needs first.


As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high-quality service and excellent results. You'll take ownership of your workflow, from planning and delegation to delivering completed assignments for review. Your technical expertise in tax and accounting will be key, and you'll share your knowledge to help junior team members grow and succeed.


You'll also be responsible for meeting productivity targets and providing value-added services to clients. With a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement, you'll work closely with your Manager to drive business growth and deliver exceptional service while mentoring the next generation of accountants.



Your Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:


Client & Team Management

  • Lead a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring top-notch compliance and providing valuable advice to help their businesses grow
  • Oversee client onboarding and distribute workloads effectively to maximise satisfaction and productivity
  • Work with junior staff, building their skills and confidence, while ensuring the team stays on track with financial targets and KPIs
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive environment, helping the team navigate complex challenges and complex tax returns


Process & Financial Oversight

  • Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate costs, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Contribute to developing and implementing accounting policies and strategies, improving systems and efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory accounting regulations
  • Actively advise on financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement


Growth & Development

  • Identify new business opportunities, attend client meetings, and help prepare proposals that showcase the Future Advisory values
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge through workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Contribute to a forward-thinking, inclusive team where innovation and everyone's input are encouraged


About you

  • You are an awesome person with a can-do, team player attitude
  • Minimum 10 years experience working in an Accounting firm
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business, with a strong focus on Accounting
  • CA or CPA qualification (completed or near completion)
  • Advanced knowledge of the Corporations Act, accounting standards, tax legislation, and related research
  • Client-facing skills, including the ability to field complex queries and deliver clear, practical advice on technical matters
  • Strong research capabilities, with the ability to analyse complex issues, interpret findings, and communicate these to Managers/Partners
  • Expert in accounting software (e.g., Xero), with the ability to support and mentor other team members in acquiring these skills for greater efficiency across the team
