About the Job:


Well established in Accounting firm based in Malvern is currently seeking a Senior Accountant/Supervisor to join their team! If you are someone who enjoys working closely with clients and has an appetite for career growth, this could be the role for you!


Position Overview:

As a Senior Accountant/Supervisor, you will take a leading role in reporting, tax compliance, and offering strategic financial/tax advice to clients. This hands-on position requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a passion for guiding and mentoring junior team members.


The Role:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
  • Supervise and lead a team of onshore junior accountants, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Review and prepare financial statements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver actionable insights on financial performance and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Manage tax compliance and oversee the preparation of tax returns for a diverse client base.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients, delivering personalized advice to support their business growth and success.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.


About You:

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting firm
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial statements, overseeing tax compliance, and providing strategic advisory services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for fostering relationships with clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and detail-focused mindset, coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
