About us

An industry-leading and dynamic support provider, Care Connect is proudly a not-for-profit organisation. We understand how important it is to remain independent at home. Our collaborative, authentic and talented team enhances people’s quality of life each and every day.

You can be part of it.

As part of delivering on our growth strategy, we invite a skilled Work Health & Safety professional to join our expanding People & Culture team.

About the Role

The WHS & Injury Management Advisor is key to our ability to safely deliver on the ‘people’ components of our strategic plan, including but not limited to the development of a new cohort of suitably skilled and compassionate Home Care Support Workers.

This is a part-time permanent role (0.6) with flexible working arrangements available.

Drawing on your broad skillset across both WHS and injury management, the WHS & Injury Management Advisor will support / coordinate new initiatives and will add value to existing activities including safe ways of work, risk management, incident reporting and data analysis, and RTW support.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, the successful applicant will:

Develop and support the implementation of clear, easy to follow WHS procedures, resources and tools that suit the end user

Maintain policies, procedures and documentation as required (eg following legislative updates or for scheduled periodic documentation reviews etc).

Plan and lead the ‘emergency duress’ project (from pilot to full rollout); provide regular updates, risks and data; monitor outcomes

Ensure our WHS consultation and emergency management procedures are effective

Review incident reporting processes and data; monitor incident investigations and close out (by managers); analyse data and make recommendations

Support injured workers from the point of injury to return to full duties (co-ordinating with managers), aiming for the earliest possible return to work, plus claim management.

Support nominated wellbeing projects.

About You

With formal qualifications in a relevant field, you will be a skilled and experienced WHS professional who is eager to make an impact in this exciting hybrid role. Tech savvy and a clear thinker, you will have considerable experience in implementing WHS initiatives that are thoughtfully designed and practical for end users. Energetic and proactive, you enjoy working on multiple small projects in parallel and are known for offering practical advice and solutions that ‘work’ for a variety of employee cohorts. Experience in the health sector and in leading wellbeing programmes would be advantageous.

To be considered for this role you must have full Australian working rights, current Police & Working with Children Checks – we can arrange police checks for successful candidates. Our selection process also includes psychometric assessment.

What’s in it for you?

We offer a competitive salary, PLUS maximise your salary as a not-for-profit employee by accessing Salary Packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay!! We value your work/life balance with a flexible working environment, a passionate team and a caring, understanding work environment.
