A couple of days ago I received a copy of my keynote talk at the CyberWest Summit in May from the amazing Emma O'Neil. This is when I was providing advice on how to validate calls with voice clone and deepfake technologies becoming an active method with scam calls. This is one piece of simple advice that works very well to help you VALIDATE if a call is real or if you are talking to an AI voice clone. There are a few more options like having a secret phrase your family has. this can enable you to easily ask the question, if they don't know the answer then you know it's a scam call. It's something that was used with children to help mitigate stranger danger, someone would be given a secret password or phrase to prove they were sent by the parents. It works very well with deepfake or voice-cloning instances as well. What are your tips for helping to mitigate these types of threats with users or family? #voiceclone #phonescams #cyberunicorns
