Why is Zero greater than Neutral? Simply put, carbon neutrality involves buying carbon reduction credits (offsetting) equivalent to the emissions you release but without any actual requirement to cut those emissions. A Net Zero strategy, however, means actually cutting those emissions with an accredited plan in line with the latest climate science. Since 2016, Red Handling UK has been part of the London Gatwick Airport community. Operating from both North and South terminals, Red Handling prides itself on its history of safety and reliability, with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) forming a major part of this. High-risk hazards in the sector include chemicals from cleaning agents, ever-changing weather conditions, handling of extremely cold materials, grip, and hand fatigue from working long hours. Protective glove options to protect from these hazards were required, with the extra need for size inclusivity based on Red Handling UK's diverse workforce. Another high-risk hazard in the aviation field is Jet Blast, referring to rapid air movement produced by the jet engines of aircraft, particularly on or before takeoff. This can cause flying debris and dust, necessitating protective eyewear. Working with a Globus representative, Red Handling were provided with inclusive, comfortable, and most importantly, effective PPE for any application.
