After visiting Angkor Wat and Borobudur, you can't miss the Bagan Pagodas. Choose this hotel!

Bagan's 2,000+ pagodas, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and Borobudur in Indonesia are known as the three wonders of Southeast Asia. I still remember the last time I went to Bagan. I stayed at a resort hotel in Old Bagan by the Irrawaddy River, the Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort. Bagan is now divided into three parts: Nyaung-U, Old Bagan, and New Bagan. Old Bagan is where the capital of the Bagan Kingdom was located, and it still has the ruins of the palace and most of the pagodas. The hotel I stayed at even has ancient pagodas in the garden. Old Bagan has no residents, only a few high-end hotels operated by the government. New Bagan is a new town built to protect Bagan's cultural relics and monuments. The residents who used to live in Old Bagan have all moved there. Nyaung-U is the largest town in Bagan, with a bustling market and many inns. It's a paradise for backpackers. Bagan is incomplete without hot air balloons. The last time I went was in the summer, and there were no hot air balloons, so I've been planning to go again! Bagan is definitely worth exploring multiple times. Walking around the ancient city of Bagan, you can see pagodas of all sizes standing in the woods, grass, and by the roadside. According to historical records, from the 11th to 13th centuries, Bagan built more than 40,000 pagodas, so Bagan is also known as the "City of Ten Thousand Pagodas". After hundreds of years of war and earthquakes, Bagan still has more than 2,000 pagodas. The view and angle of the pagodas from a hot air balloon is the most beautiful! The hotel I recommend is in a good location, with a high level of service and safety. The consumption level is catching up with Bangkok and Chiang Mai, but it's definitely worth it.
