I thought Wuzhen was beautiful until I visited Nanxun.

Jiangnan is a beautiful place, and its scenery is well-known. Nanxun, a town hidden in the misty rain, is not only a historic and cultural town in China but also one of the top ten charming towns in China. It is known as the "land of fish and rice" and the "silk capital." With its white walls, black tiles, small bridges, and flowing water, Nanxun satisfies all your fantasies about the water towns of Jiangnan. Nanxun Ancient Town 💰No entrance fee, but some attractions in the town charge a small fee 🚘3 hours by car from Nanjing, 1.5 hours from Hangzhou, 2 hours from Shanghai 🚅Take a high-speed train to Huzhou Station and transfer to Bus 101 . 🚶🏻‍♀Walking route South Gate - Xiaolian Manor - Jiaye Library - Former Residence of Zhang Shiming - Liu's Tihao - Former Residence of Zhang Jingjiang - Baijianlou 🙋🏻‍♀I recommend taking two days to explore slowly, but one day is also enough . Here are some free check-in spots ❶Baijianlou: Walk along the ancient path on both sides, look at the buildings on the opposite bank, and enjoy the reflection in the water, as if you are walking in a painting. ❷Changfa Bridge: A bridge I really like, with green trees and small shops on the shore, very peaceful! ❸Tongjin Bridge: At the Shizigang Wharf, you can take photos of the bridge and water merging. ❹Water Bus: Sit on the boat and feel the Jiangnan atmosphere, 3 yuan per person, one trip every 30 minutes. Tips for weekend and holiday travel ✔︎Although the water bus is cheap, don't waste time queuing when there are many people. ✔︎You can try the rowing boat, but I don't recommend night tours, as it's too dark to see anything. Spend the time after dusk at Baijianlou! (Yes, I missed the blue night view of Baijianlou) ✔︎I recommend staying near Baijianlou, as it's less crowded and quieter. Riverfront homestays are expensive during holidays, so choose wisely. ✔︎Drive to Baijianlou and navigate to "Baoshan Parent-Child Street Visitor Center," otherwise, you'll have to walk a lot. ✔︎Don't bring a stroller if you're traveling with kids, as the road is not suitable for pushing. ✔︎If you want to take photos, go before 10 am when there are fewer tourists.
