White Horse Temple, Luoyang, Henan Province: A thousand-year-old temple

🚗One of the three must-see attractions in Luoyang, White Horse Temple is the first official Buddhist temple in China. It is simple and elegant, with red walls and green tiles, and has a history of 1,900 years. You can also enjoy exotic temple scenery without leaving the country. 🍃Wind chimes sway in the wind, sparrows and pigeons chirp, and pilgrims and tourists come and go. It is known as the East White Horse Temple of Luoyang and is the only Bhikkhuni temple in Henan Province. - 🚗Transportation: 1.🚌Bus: Take bus 56/801/58 and get off at White Horse Temple Station 2.🚇Subway + 🛵Tricycle: Get off at Yangwan Station on Line 1, and take a tricycle for CNY 5/person (recommended, especially on holidays, otherwise there will be a huge traffic jam, and taxis may be stuck in traffic) 3.🚇Subway + 🚌Shuttle bus: Get off at Yangwan Station on Line 1 and take a shuttle bus to White Horse Temple for CNY 2/person. But! The shuttle bus does not stop at the entrance, and you will have to walk more than 1 km from the drop-off point to the ticket gate. If you don't want to walk, you can take a scenic tour bus for CNY 10/person, which is a rip-off‼️I really can't help but complain about this. Is such a long distance just to charge tourists? 😡🤬 4.🚙Self-driving: Navigate directly to No. 6 Luobai Road, Luolong District, and park your car near the entrance of the scenic area for CNY 10/time with no time limit 5.🚕Taxi: It takes about 35–45 minutes to take a taxi from the old city (super traffic jam on holidays) 🕓Opening hours: 07:40–18:40 in summer; 08:00–17:30 in winter .
