Located on the west side of Shengzhou, Zhejiang, about 11 kilometers northwest of Shengzhou city, it is an ancient town with a strong atmosphere of life. Originally named Xinghua Village, it is the "hometown of Yue Opera" and "hometown of Go". During the Xining period of the Northern Song Dynasty, the Qiu family of Yimen moved from Wuzhou to this place. It retains a large group of ancient buildings, which still have the same style after thousands of years. It's very Jiangnan, very simple, and original! Tracing back the history of Chongren, we can at least look back to more than 1700 years ago. The "square well" located in the northwest of the ancient town is the oldest ancient well found in Shengzhou. There is a stele beside the well with the words "Chiwu Second Year (239)", which shows that as early as the Three Kingdoms period, there were already ancestors living here. ✅The highlight of the ancient town is the large group of ancient buildings, especially the ancient stage and the old stage gate, which are full of gorgeous and exquisite wood carvings. ✅You don't need a map to stroll around the ancient town. You can basically stroll around the main attractions by following the signs, which takes about 2 hours. ✅The ancient town is very niche, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, there are not many tourists, and they are all local elderly residents Because there is almost no commercialization itself, a large number of ancient sites themselves are not convenient for visiting.
