This ancient site, known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," is an aerial palace built on a 200-meter-high orange-red boulder, a man-made miracle that turns the impossible into the possible. 🎏Must-see attractions: 1️⃣Lion's Paw Platform: The huge lion's paw sculpture, though weathered by time, still exudes the majesty and grandeur of the past. 2️⃣Murals: Precious murals remain on the stone walls halfway up the mountain, a treasure of ancient Sri Lankan art. These murals are colorful and vivid, depicting scenes of ancient court life and rituals. 3️⃣Rock Top Platform: At the top of the peak is a huge platform, where the main buildings of the royal family, such as the pagoda, ponds, baths, and the old palace, are concentrated. You can also see the well-preserved royal swimming pool. From the top of the rock, you can see the entire capital city and the surrounding plains, mountains, and lakes, revealing the scale and layout of this lost palace in its heyday. 4️⃣Lion Rock Museum: Displays knowledge about the history, culture, and architecture of Lion Rock, introducing the past and present of this ancient building through various forms such as artifacts, models, and pictures. 🌟Tips: 1️⃣Be careful when climbing Lion Rock, especially on steep sections and narrow steps. 2️⃣There are no shops along the way to climb Lion Rock, so it is recommended to bring a moderate amount of drinking water. 3️⃣The sunset time in winter is relatively early, around 6 pm.
