If you can't make it to Tibet, come to the nearby Guangren Temple

Guangren Temple Scenic Area is located at the northwest corner of the Ming Dynasty city wall in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. It is the only Gelug sect Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Shaanxi Province, as well as the only Green Tara Mandala in China, and it was also the offering site of Princess Wencheng in Chang'an (present-day Xi'an). The temple has a history of over 300 years and is a Tibetan Buddhist temple with the architectural style of the Central Plains from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Opening hours: 8 am to 5 pm, with free admission. Temple etiquette includes entering from the left and exiting from the right, not retracing your steps. Step over the threshold as high as you can without stepping on it, symbolizing overcoming obstacles and smooth sailing ahead. Upon entering, there is free nectar water and a fan available. Introduction to the four main halls: The first hall, the Guanyin Hall, houses Shaanxi's largest statue of the Thousand-Handed Guanyin, where people pray for marriage. The second hall, the Green Tara Hall, where people pray for career advancement. Before entering the hall, one should walk around the corridor outside the hall, turn the prayer wheels clockwise, and pray for blessings, turning them 7 times while silently reciting the Green Tara mantra. The third hall, the Thousand Buddha Hall, where people pray for academic success. The fourth hall, the Sutra Repository, is the highest standard building in Tibetan Buddhism. During the visit, one should respect the local religious culture and customs.
