Enjoy the Winter Sun and Watch Thousands of Water Birds

Winter Solstice is approaching, and the cold winter is truly here. The north is already covered in ice and snow, and many places in the south are cold, damp, and freezing. However, Xichang City in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southern Sichuan, enjoys sunny days and warm winter sunshine. Xichang Qionghai National Wetland Park not only boasts beautiful scenery and a good ecological environment, but is also home to various birds and waterfowl, as well as a large number of migratory birds that come here for the winter. Visitors can enjoy the winter sun, admire the beautiful scenery, and interact with many black-headed gulls and great crested grebes. If you're lucky, you might even see some rare birds. I've been in Xichang for over half a month, and have taken some photos of the "little elves" of nature while walking along Qionghai Lake. In the sky, there are kingfishers, magpies, red-whiskered bulbuls, mynas, and doves. In the water, there are redhead ducks, spot-billed ducks, cormorants, great crested grebes, little grebes, black-headed gulls, purple swamphens, common moorhens, and Eurasian coots, as well as Asian openbills, egrets, grey herons, and pond herons. The winter sun by Qionghai Lake in Xichang is worth experiencing!
