Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Zhangjiajie is a city built for tourism and is one of the most important tourist cities in China. On January 25, 2010, the Southern Sky Column in Zhangjiajie was renamed Hallelujah Mountain from Avatar. It is said that many of the prototypes of Pandora in Avatar were inspired by the mountains of Zhangjiajie, and the Southern Sky Column was the prototype for the floating Hallelujah Mountain. It feels strange to give a Chinese mountain a foreign name. The original name "Southern Sky Column" is so vivid and magnificent. It will be changed back sooner or later! I highly recommend the most classic and primitive scenic spot in Zhangjiajie - Laowuchang Scenic Area. You can take an eco-friendly vehicle from Dingxiangrong Village or walk for 1 hour. I think Yangjiajie is the most beautiful place in Zhangjiajie, and Tianbo Mansion is the most dangerous, but the best views are on the most dangerous peaks! On the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the karst landform, forest, terraces, and mountain villages 1,000 meters below. The eco-friendly vehicle only goes to the Yangjia intersection on the road, and you need to walk into the scenic area. Tianbo Mansion is a great place to watch the sunset. Stay in Dingxiangrong Village in the scenic area and book a guesthouse. 🚗Transportation tips: It's quite convenient to take a train to Zhangjiajie: Arrive at Zhangjiajie Station early, turn left 200 meters after leaving the station to reach Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station, and take a direct bus to Tianzi Mountain Ticket Station (5:40 am to 6:00 pm, every 30 minutes). The journey takes less than 2 hours. Buy a ticket at Tianzi Mountain Ticket Station to enter the scenic area. Take an eco-friendly vehicle to the intersection, and then ask the guesthouse to pick you up. On the last day of the trip, if you plan to leave the scenic area directly after the tour, you can check your luggage at the guesthouse to the train station or a designated location. Finally, leave the scenic area from the Wulingyuan Gate at the foot of the mountain.
