Vietnam has a desert?
Jeep Desert Tour in Vietnam!
Vietnam boasts a massive desert!
It's the Mui Ne Desert.
This place is often included in Ho Chi Minh tour packages.
You don't have to go far to see the magnificent scenery of endless sand dunes, making it a popular destination.
If you have kids, the Mui Ne Desert Tour offers a unique experience for them! If you're planning a trip to Vietnam, this is a must-visit.
Coastal Charm: Victoria Phan Thiet
During our return to Mui Ne, we stayed at the expansive Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa, set on 7 hectares of lush gardens along the coastline. The resort’s blend of nostalgic Vietnamese architecture and modern comforts was a highlight, with rustic thatched-roof bungalows providing an authentic yet luxurious feel.
Since we checked in early, we explored the resort and had lunch at L'Océane restaurant, where East-West fusion cuisine and ocean views made for an unforgettable experience. The buttered bread was especially memorable—so delicious that I couldn’t resist two servings!
For the best experience, I recommend booking a seaside bungalow to fully enjoy the sound of the waves right from your room. Pair that with a little wine and snacks, and your evening will be perfect.
Victoria’s beach is stunning and perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or kitesurfing, and jogging along the shore is also a wonderful way to enjoy the scenery. The resort provides everything you need, including quick check-in, free Wi-Fi, a spa, gym, and a variety of sports activities. With attentive, professional staff, we were truly satisfied with our stay.
Colorful Jeep Desert Tour
Did you know that you can enjoy the desert in Vietnam?
I chose a yellow jeep to visit the White Sand Dunes, and as you can see in the second picture, there are various photos for your reference 😁
🏷️Du lịch Sinh Thái Bàu Trắng - Minh Thái
✔️Hòa Thắng - Hòa Phú, Hoà Thắng, Bắc Bình, Bình Thuận, Vietnam
When you reach the top of the White Sand Dunes, you can ride a sand sled... but be aware that after riding, you'll be covered in sand, and it's very very hard to climb up 🥲

Sunrise, ocean and Sandunes at Mui Ne
2D1N Solo trip to Mui ne, vietnam.
Doing the Sand dunes tour was truly a magnificent experience!
The tour has three slots available daily, but I highly recommend the sunrise timing from what you can see from the photos, truly a breathtaking view.
The tour was about 4 hours and cost me $20+ dollars.#Mui ne #Vietnam #Solo traveller #Sand dunes
Beautiful moments taken in Mui Ne
Mui Ne was my favorite place in #Vietnam 🇻🇳🐠 No tourists, rounded fishing boats, spectacular sunsets and great food 😉
Day 1: Sandy Welcomes
Landed in Mui Ne and was instantly hit by its beachy vibes. Checked into a sea-view resort, where the sound of waves became my lullaby.
Day 2: Sand Dunes & Sunrise Thrills
Explored the Insta-famous red and white sand dunes, where sandboarding added an adrenaline kick. Sunrise painted the sky, turning the dunes into a canvas of colors.
Day 3: Fishy Talks & Fairy Streams
Hung out at a lively fishing village, chatted with local fishermen, and got a taste of their daily catch. Explored the whimsical Fairy Stream, a chilled-out natural wonder.
Day 4: Munching Mui Ne
Dived into Mui Ne's food scene, feasting on fresh seafood at bustling markets. Grilled squid and fish curries were the stars, giving my taste buds a coastal joyride.
Day 5: Sunset Vibes at Mui Ne Beach
Wrapped up the trip with a chill evening on Mui Ne Beach. The sun dipped, painting the sky in warm hues. The beach vibes and soothing waves created a perfect farewell symphony.
Leaving Mui Ne with sandy toes and a heart full of beachy memories. Until next time, Mui Ne! 🏖️✨ #MuiNeMagic
Mui Ne accommodation + attractions recommendations 📸
Mui Ne is an incredibly beautiful and gentle place 😭 It simultaneously possesses the beach🌊 and desert🏜️, as well as the sun🌞 and moon🌙.
I took a charter from Dalat, and the journey took about 3-4 hours. Accommodation in Mui Ne: The Cliff Resort & Residences – highly recommended! I chose the Terra Ocean View, a beautiful room perfect for taking photos 🥰
There aren't many attractions in Mui Ne. You can directly sign up for a local day tour package, which includes:
1. White Sand Dunes (a must-visit!)
- Great for photography, ride an ATV (additional fee), and feel the excitement of speeding through the desert! Be prepared—it's very sunny, windy, and you'll encounter a lot of sand, so make sure to wear a mask.
2. Red Sand Dunes (considered average)
- The sand here is darker; people usually come to watch the sunset/sunrise.
3. Fishing Village
- Just a place to get off and take a souvenir photo.
4. Fairy Stream
- You have to walk barefoot in the river for about 20 minutes to reach the end for a photo and then walk back another 20 minutes. Be cautious, as there are stones in the river, and your feet may hurt.
Although there aren't many attractions, the scenery along the way is truly beautiful. Typically, tour guides who also serve as drivers will drive their jeeps to transport customers. They will stop along the way to take photos for you. Without further ado, just take a look at the pictures. Can you believe this is in Vietnam?
Mui Ne sunset
There’s no better way to delve into Vietnam’s fishing and marine life than a visit to a fishing village. Some 7 km north of Mui Ne, Mui Ne Fishing Village is the busiest part of the town. Get your battery 📷 charged for thousands of shots capturing coracles or round fishing boats and wooden boats docked on a flat surface of the sea, fishermen and local merchants – the liveliest scenes await you!

🥗Food and Accommodation:
Highly recommend the resort we chose for this trip, "Bamboo Village Beach Resort & Spa"! 🏕️Stayed in a seaside bungalow where you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night and wake up to a view of the deep blue sea in the morning.
⛱️Once checked in, we hardly left the resort, haha. After a hearty breakfast, we'd lounge by the sea or go surfing. When we returned in the evening, the restaurant lit up, offering fresh and delicious seafood along with various local dishes.
🎋The resort's landscaping is exquisite and vibrant, with each tropical plant labeled for an enjoyable learning experience. The attention to service details is also excellent. The wooden buckets by the room were replenished with clean water every day, and gardeners were always maintaining and pruning the vegetation in the courtyard.
💆🏻♀️After getting a sunburn from surfing, we also treated ourselves to an Aloe Vera spa at the resort. The spa products, ambiance, and service were impeccable. We even bought homemade coconut oil from the store afterward.
🏄🏻♀️Surfing:
Mui Ne has infrequent rain but substantial waves, making it perfect for surfing. Next to the resort is "African Kite Surf Shop Outlet," where the owner and family are very friendly. Following the coach, we geared up, found the waves, paddled, and stood up. It involved repetitive motions, but it was truly captivating and enjoyable! Lost in the surfer's world, every time the coach asked if I was tired, I vigorously shook my head. This trip satisfied my surfing cravings.
🚘🚌Transportation:
It takes about 3 hours to reach Mui Ne from Ho Chi Minh City. On the outbound journey, we chose Hanh Cafe's bus. Despite the relatively short 3-hour ride, there were delays and a bus change, and the sleeper bus experience was just average. We felt a bit tired upon arrival. For the return journey, we opted for G5 Bus's business minivan, which was very comfortable. There were only us and a Korean couple in the car, and the van made stops at rest areas. It took around 2 hours to reach the Ho Chi Minh City area.
Mui Ne has another hotel worth staying in
Drawing inspiration from the colonial era of French Indochina, The Anam Mui Ne is a magnificent retreat where grand French architecture and tropical gardens converge. Immerse yourself in numerous classic Vietnamese traditional craft elements.
This is an excellent destination for experiencing outdoor adventures in Vietnam:
- 🏄 Mui Ne Beach nearby is famous for water sports, particularly windsurfing.
- 🏎️ The surrounding area features the iconic white sand dunes, where half is sea, and half is sand.
- ⛵ Vibrant-colored boats and lively street markets create a picturesque scene.
- 🐟 Local traditional cuisine and seafood are irresistible.
📍 The Anam Mui Ne Hotel
Opened in January 2023, the hotel is meticulously crafted by artisans skilled in ancient techniques from various regions of Vietnam. Renowned Vietnamese artists Bui Van Quang and Vu Trong Anh have created 250 oil paintings displayed in the lobby, restaurants, corridors, rooms, and suites.
The resort boasts 127 rooms and suites, including 7 suites with private pools and 1 presidential suite. All rooms feature panoramic balconies with a decor style that exudes old-world charm.
The resort offers two restaurants and personalized private dining experiences. Additionally, it has seawater/freshwater pools, a spa center, a fitness center, a yoga room, boutique shops, and business meeting and banquet facilities.
Unmissable experiences:
✨ Complimentary afternoon tea on your private balcony, enjoying breathtaking sea views.
✨ Wander through the resort to admire oil paintings depicting daily life scenes and unique landscapes of Vietnam.
✨ Explore nearby bustling markets and fishing ports through a cooking class, experiencing the charm of traditional Vietnamese recipes.
✨ Try kite surfing, jet-skiing, sailing, kayaking, and other water activities at Mui Ne Beach.
✨ Visit the nearby town of Phan Thiet to experience the local slow-paced lifestyle.
✨ The resort's children's club provides childcare and educationally creative activities for children aged 4 to 12.
Enjoy weekend days at a beach resort

A weekend at Phu Hai Beach Resort in Phan Thiet was pure relaxation by the sea. The tranquil beachfront location, swaying palm trees, and comfortable accommodations created a serene atmosphere. Lazy days were spent basking in the sun, taking leisurely walks along the shore, and indulging in delicious seafood. It was a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle, offering a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty for a weekend retreat. I picked a single bed room for 2 nights with 3 million VND using sale off program of the resort. Now I am ready to be back to work after this weekend healing.
European architecture in Vietnam

#winecastle
Wine Castle in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan, Vietnam, is an unexpected gem tucked away in this coastal paradise. As a traveler, I stumbled upon this unique venue, and it left a lasting impression.
The moment you arrive, you're greeted by the charming exterior that resembles a European castle. It's a picturesque sight that transports you to a different world. The castle's architecture is a testament to the attention to detail and creativity of its creators.
Inside, you're in for a wine lover's dream. The castle is home to an extensive collection of wines from around the world. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or simply curious about different varietals, you'll find something to suit your palate. The knowledgeable staff is eager to assist with recommendations and pairings.
What sets Wine Castle apart is its cozy ambiance. The interior is elegantly decorated, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. It's an ideal setting for a romantic evening or a relaxed gathering with friends.
Phu Quy Island
#vietnam #island Phú Quý island is a small fishing island in the south central coast of Vietnam, about 120 km from Phan Thiet city. It is an archipelago of 12 islands, large and small, and has a rich history and culture. Phú Quý island is also known for its natural beauty, with clear blue water, white sand beaches, and green hills. Some of the attractions on the island are Trieu Duong Bay, Ganh Hang, Cao Cat Mountain, Phu Quy Lighthouse, wind power area, Linh Son Pagoda, flagpole of Phu Quy Island, and Van An Thanh (where a big whale skeleton is preserved).
Phú Quý island is not very developed for tourism, so it still retains its rural charm and authenticity. There are no large hotels on the island, only small homestays and guest houses. The people are very friendly and hospitable. The seafood is fresh and cheap, and you can enjoy BBQ on the beach with your friends. However, foreign visitors need to apply for a permit to visit Phú Quý island, as it is under military control. You can get help from travel agencies in Phan Thiet or Mui Ne to get the permit.
To get to Phú Quý island, you can take a Superdong speedboat from Phan Thiet, which takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are only two trips per day, and the schedule depends on the weather and the tide. You can also take other types of ships, such as Phu Quy Express or cargo ships, but they take longer.
Phú Quý island is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful and relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature, culture, and adventure, Phú Quý island might be a good choice for you.
A symbol of freedom
This is the solo travel of my life. A memorable trip at the lovely island #phuquyisland. I fell in love with this island and everything in it. When you come to Viet Nam, you should explore this beautiful island if you are a lover of the sea, if you love nature and love to eat seafood. Everything here is quite wild and rustic. Food is also very cheap. If you travel solo and want to have nice picture, you can bring tripod or book local guide to accompany with you.
Deserts in Southeast Asia! Nha Trang Mui Ne White Sand Dunes🏜️
The reason I drove for 3-4 hours from Nha Trang Cam Ranh Airport to Mui Ne!
It's because of the desert you can see in Southeast Asia🏜️
It's called White Sand Dunes because the sand is white, but when I went there, it wasn't that white because of the rain that fell in the early morning😂
I was disappointed because I couldn't even see the sun because it was covered by clouds🥹
I think it would have been better if I had visited on a nice day!
I made a reservation in advance with a local company that takes good pictures!
📍Muine White Sand Dunes
Muine White Sand Dunes
✔️Jeep tour 500,000 dong
✔️White Sand Dunes transportation allowance(?) ATV usage fee 200,000 dong per person paid on site
✔️Sand sledding is 50,000 dong!
✔️Choose from 2 tours: Sunrise and Seotset
✔️It's better if you tie your hair up! (Because of the sweat, my hair will be disheveled later on lol)
✔️They say white clothes look good in photos, but I think brightly colored clothes will look good too!

Vietnam Sahara Mui Ne Sand Dunes
In the southeast corner of Vietnam, there is a fishing village called Mui Ne. Here, the coconut breeze is gentle and the atmosphere is peaceful and gentle, known as the "lazy vacation paradise" and "the most romantic fishing village". In Mui Ne, besides watching the sea, the main attraction is the sand dunes. Mui Ne has two most charming sand dunes, one is the white sand dunes located in the north, and the other is the red sand dunes located in the south. The desert and the sea are two completely different landscapes, but they coexist harmoniously in this inclusive town of Mui Ne. The white and red sand dunes seem to follow the rise and fall of the sun, accompanying the awakening of Mui Ne, the silence of the fishing village, and the passage of time.
Mui Ne's white sand dunes are known as the "Sahara Desert of Vietnam" and are an excellent place to watch the sunrise. As the dunes are far from the center of Mui Ne, if you want to see the purest view of the white sand dunes, you must leave early and during the golden time of sunrise. Without a motorcycle or jeep, it is impossible to fully enjoy the panoramic view of the sand dunes at sunrise. Rent a motorcycle in advance, set your alarm for 4 o'clock, and experience the infinite charm of the sunrise in the flying sand and gentle breeze. As the sun rises higher, the endless desert looks like a layer of gold, revealing a unique exotic style. You can also get off the vehicle and walk on the delicate sand to feel the magic of nature while crossing the rolling sand dunes.
Departing from the small town of Meinai Fishing Village to Baisha Dunes takes nearly an hour. Generally, tourists arrange Baisha Dunes, Hongsha Dunes, and Xianv Creek for a one-day tour, and chartering or joining a local one-day tour group is a more convenient way. These three attractions do not require admission tickets, but of course, additional fees are required for activities such as playing on the beach or riding a jeep.
MUI NE FISHING VILLAGE
Muine fishing village at the North end of mui ne bay is about 7km North of mui ne Town. .Its just a public spot with benches and some local sell their catch of the day. There are so many bowl boat in this fishing village. Water not very clean and only we shed up dirty sea creatures on shore. Very picturesque scenery of the fishing village and the special bowl shaped boat. Just a place to take same photo. #vietnam #muine #mytripvlog

Breathtaking landscape in Mui Ne - White Sand Dunes
White Sand Dunes, is one of the only desert areas in Vietnam.
White Sand Dunes is stretching in the area of Mui Ne sandy hills. The name of White Sand Dunes originates from its sand's color. The white sand hills are also named Bau Trang (White Lake). It is about 62km from Phan Thiet City to White Sand Dunes to the northeast, and about 30km from Mui Ne.
The most striking part of the area is a small lagoon covered in lotus flowers. Beside the lake, there is also a small pine forest that keeps the wind cool, even in the hot desert.
Hope you like this post if you found this useful. Cheers :)

Garden bungalow in Phan Thiet
Address - 54 Nguyễn Đình Chiểu, khu phố 1, Thành phố Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận, Vietnam
This resort is good value for money. The garden bungalow is in good size. It is clean and comfortable.
The beach is just a few steps away from the resort.
There is a lot of green space around the resort which is good as a getaway from Ho Chi Minh city. There is kite flying activity along the beach too.

Summer time at Mui Ne, Vietnam
The dilemma between mountain or beach trip can break the bond of every group. So why not both in one place?

White Sand Dune Vietnam
This is another big send in Vietnam call white sand dune. this one is very huge the sand is in white color that's why they call it as white. you can rent a vehicle to write on the sun or you can rent a car and pay a money as a group. When you driving they will not allow you to try because it's dangerous but they will drive the vehicle for you you just enjoy it. Me here has more activity to do than red sand dune. I recommend you to come here and chill.

Amazing Phan Thiet (Mui Ne)
Love the Sea, Wind, and Sand in Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Vietnam!
When I arrived in Mui Ne, the first thing that stroke me was how empty the city is. There were Western tourists everywhere, almost were backpackers.
It’s peaceful like a village really, so many stores or restaurants were closed so early like around 9 pm?? I and my friend went out when the lights off, and there weren’t many real hotspots. Luckily there was a beer place that sold chickens. 🥹
That’s not a big deal because Mui Ne is just soooo beautiful! The pictures are mostly in Sand dunes. 🥹💕
It was like about to rain that time so we need to be so rushy. 😤
Gonna come there again for sure! I really wanna buy a house there. 🥺
#bucketlistreboot
Interesting sand dune and amazing sunset view
📍Located in Phan Thiet, Mui Ne, this famous sand dune is a nice place to visit. You can rent a Jeep and the driver will drop you off nearer to the dune. If you are adventurous, you can try the sand sliding and imagine yourself in the dessert.
We came in January and the weather was pleasant. The wind blows the sand away and it’s such a beautiful scene of nature. If you are into photos, come here around 5pm to capture 🌅 view and you won’t be disappointed.
📝Things to bring: water and food as there’s nothing at the dune. Bring sunglasses too as the sand may get into your eyes if the wind is strong. Wear slipper is recommended if you don’t want the sand to get stuck in your shoes.
Beautiful healing trip in Phu Quy Island
Phu Quy island is sincerely so serene.
Some people go to Phu Quy in order to heal themselves, while others come here in order to find motivations for their start over.
Food and beverages here are very cheap.
The road to Phu Quy is a little bit difficult (takes some hours), but it's just really worth it.
From the sand, the sea, the colorful pebbles, anything are just giving me a healing time.
I would love to earn more money to come here again to learn diving better. Had extremely great moment when I and my friend saw those lively corals. 🥺
Stay tuned for next time! Now I’m aiming to go to TXT concerts on October. Please wish me luck to successfully booking some vip tickets to see the babies better. 🥺🍀💕#summervacation #beachlife #naturalwonders #gooutside #beaches
Beautiful Vietnam!
