Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and the former capital of Yugoslavia, where the Danube and Sava rivers meet, and where the ancient and modern converge. The city has a long history and numerous cultural and natural attractions. The following sites are a must-visit. *National Assembly: The National Assembly of Serbia is located in the central district of Belgrade. It is a landmark building in Belgrade, with a grand appearance and typical Baroque style. Figures 1-2. *Church of Saint Sava: The Church of Saint Sava is situated on a hill in the eastern part of the old town of Belgrade. It was built in 1935, and the decoration work is still ongoing. The main dome of the church is covered by a huge bronze dome, making it the second largest Orthodox church in the world, after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The interior of the church is luxuriously decorated with golden walls. Figures 3-5. Next to the Church of Saint Sava is a Moscow Orthodox Church, Figure 6. *Kalemegdan Fortress, also known as Belgrade Fortress, was an important fortress in medieval Belgrade. It consists of the old fortress at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers and Kalemegdan Park. Figure 7 shows Kalemegdan Park, Figure 8 shows the Victory Monument commemorating the soldiers who died in World War I, Figures 9-10 show the old fortress, and Figures 11-12 show the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. *Tito's Mausoleum: When visiting Belgrade, Tito's Mausoleum is a must-see. For those born before the 1970s in China, Marshal Tito was a familiar foreign leader. Under Tito's leadership, Yugoslavia experienced its fastest and best period of development, with a prosperous nation and dignified people. He is a hero in the hearts of the Yugoslav people. Unfortunately, with Tito's death, Yugoslavia disintegrated. It is said that Marshal Tito loved flowers during his lifetime, and now his mausoleum is built on the site of his former office, surrounded by many flowers, making it look like a garden. Therefore, it is also known as the 'House of Flowers.' Tito and his third wife are buried here, and it also serves as a small history museum, displaying gifts with ethnic characteristics given to Tito by leaders from various countries and ethnic groups in Yugoslavia. Figures 13-14. *National Museum of Belgrade: The earliest comprehensive museum established in Yugoslavia, located in the center of Belgrade, completed in 1844. The museum has three floors, one underground and two above ground, covering an area of 5,000 square meters. It exhibits about 400,000 items from the Paleolithic era to the 20th century. It also features important works by Serbian artists and world-renowned artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, and Monet. Figures 15-16. *Belgrade National Theatre: The National Theatre is diagonally opposite the main entrance of the National Museum. From the external structure, it exudes a strong artistic atmosphere. Figure 17. *Prince Mihailo Street: Turn left at the exit of the National Museum to reach Prince Mihailo Street. It is a major commercial pedestrian street in Belgrade, bustling with various shops, restaurants, and street performers. Figure 18. *Site of the Chinese Embassy in the Former Yugoslavia: This monument was built by the city of Belgrade to commemorate the martyrs. Behind the monument is the site of the former embassy, which is now the Chinese Cultural Center building. Figure 19. *Waterfront Tower: A landmark in the wealthy district of Belgrade, reportedly the most expensive real estate in the city. Figure 20. In Europe, the cost of living in Belgrade is not high, but it is slightly higher than in China. The city has many construction sites, indicating that Belgrade's economy is recovering and the city is developing, especially the tourism industry, which is growing rapidly. It was a trip to Serbia. Upon arrival, we visited Kalemegdan Fortress. A historical fortress offering panoramic views of the confluence of the River Sava and Danube. 📍Kalemegdan, 11000 Belgrade We then visited St. Sava Temple. One of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. 📍Krušedolska 2a, Vračar, Belgrade We also explored around the Skadarlija Stree. A charming, bohemian street famous for its old-style restaurants and lively atmosphere. 📍Skadarska, 11000 Belgrade If you were to visit there, I would recommend you to try, Dva Jelena (Two Deer). The Ćevapi (grilled minced meat) was really delicious 😍 💰 Around 1000 RSD (8 EUR) 📍Skadarska 32, 11000 Belgrade We also visited Petrovaradin Fortress. Which also known as the "Gibraltar of the Danube," this fortress offers stunning views and historical insights. The entrance was free and I would strongly recommend you to visit this place. 📍Petrovaradin, Novi Sad We then explored the Novi Sad City Museum. The museum provides a deep dive into the history and culture of Novi Sad. 📍Dunavska 35, Novi Sad 💰Around 300 RSD (2.5 EUR) We also explored the Danube Park. A beautiful park perfect for a relaxing evening stroll. 📍Dunavska, Novi Sad We also visited Niš Fortress. A well-preserved Ottoman fortress located on the right bank of the Nišava River. If you were there in the morning, you can check out the, Stambolijski Restoran. We tried their Proja (cornbread). After leaving Timisoara and driving about 100 kilometers south, I paid a fee to exit the Romanian customs. Then when I entered Serbia, I encountered a female police officer checking my passport and saying "Hello" in Chinese! This is also the only time I have cleared customs all the way in Eastern Europe. It only took 20 minutes to pass all the levels for free ~ 100% friendly🇨🇳🇷🇸 The price of petrol in Serbia is equivalent to about ¥13 yuan. Then drive about 40 kilometers across the Danube Bridge and enter the capital city of Belgrade. We first went to Kalemegdan, Belgrade’s iconic tourist attraction and leisure place (free to visit). 🏡Kalemegdan is both a castle and a park. Also known as Belgrade Fortress. The castle is composed of huge stones. It has been an important place in JS since the era of Celtic rule. The architectural heritage of ancient Rome and the Austro-Hungarian Empire can still be seen today. From the city wall, you can clearly enjoy the beautiful scenery of the intersection of the Danube and Sava Rivers. There is a yacht dock on the Danube River. Cruise ships traveling on the Danube River usually dock here, and you can take a cruise to visit the five countries connected by the Danube River. 🕋The castle is composed of four parts ~ Lower Town, Upper Town, Little Kalemegdan and Big Kalemegdan, all of which are of great ornamental value. There are also some historical sites near the river. The terrain is somewhat similar to the Chinese mountain city Chongqing, which is also a mountain city where two rivers meet. Kalemegdan Castle is the most famous park in Serbia. Its winding paths, shaded benches and lawns, picturesque outdoor fountains, realistic statues and magnificent historical buildings... have become a popular destination for tourists and citizens alike. A must-visit spot to blend in with nature, relax and learn about history.

I think the two most comfortable places in Serbia are on the fortress by the blue Danube to watch the sunset The afterglow of the sunset and the blue river water complement each other I recommend two places: Novi Sad's Petrovaradin Fortress's Clock, Belgrade Fortress I highly recommend Petrovaradin Fortress because there is a riverside viewing restaurant in the fortress, where you can sit and enjoy the sunset while dining, or have a cup of coffee or tea in the afternoon, and stare at the Danube, the scenery is superb. Next, I recommend Belgrade Fortress, where the fortress is bigger, and those who are not afraid of heights can take a seat in a row, many people come here to watch the sunset, but good weather here is a matter of luck, I waited for 7 days and only got 1 day of good weather

At the end of the street, there is a tourist center where you can get a map. There are many bookstores and souvenir shops along the street to browse. 7️⃣ Belgrade Fortress A castle located at the very north of the 6️⃣ shopping street, interesting for those who are into history, with an entrance fee of 120 dinars.

Belgrade, known as the key to the Balkans due to its unique geographical location, has recorded more than 150 wars, has been destroyed and rebuilt many times, the last time was the big bombing in 1999, thousands of people died in the city, tens of thousands of homes were destroyed, in order to protect the Branko Bridge on the Sava River and the Pancevo Bridge on the Danube, thousands of citizens holding 'TARGET' signs and candles, walked onto the bridge, formed a human shield, it was quite tragic.        Kalemegdan Castle is located at the commanding heights of the old city, it is a military fortress, facing the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, overlooking the two rivers from the castle, the view is open, the scenery is beautiful, this castle has also been destroyed many times, and constantly rebuilt, witnessed the history of Belgrade, and is also a symbol of this city. On day 1, there is nothing better than soaking up the beauty of Belgrade. The capital of Serbia, Belgrade is a vibrant metropolis located in Eastern Europe, but it connects Western Europe with the customs and culture of its own Yugoslav origins. Where we live, we are within walking distance of Kalemegdan Fortress. Also known as Belgrade Fortress. It is one of the largest and oldest castles in Europe. From the fortress, you can easily overlook the Danube and Sava rivers, and you can see the parallel water flows at the intersection. Locals say that every time a ship passes here, the wishes made between the two rivers will come true. During the Ottoman Empire, the castle also changed hands, occupied and built several times. This fortress also played an important role in changing the pattern of World War I. In the afternoon we experienced a cruise between the beautiful Sava River and the romantic Danube River. Viewing Belgrade from the perspective of a cruise ship is so beautiful, with the city lying quietly on the riverside and mountains. You can see the cruise ships passing through the port of Belgrade. The cathedral stands in the distance. Every bridge has a story and history. Interestingly, during the day we stood above the Belgrade Fortress, and in the afternoon we looked up at its magnificence from the perspective of a cruise ship. I love Belgrade so much this season. The infinite charm of the sunset makes time fly by. Walking on the street at night, the evening breeze caressing you gently, this is the first full day I have spent in Serbia, it is really wonderful. Downstairs from the hotel is Grand Duke Mihajlo Street, which is the oldest and most famous street in Serbia. The history of hundreds of years makes it attract much attention. A collection of 19th-century buildings and numerous buildings protected by historical and cultural units. The former residences of celebrities and buildings with historical landmarks made me deeply immersed in exploring the beauty of architecture and couldn't extricate myself.
