Hong Kong Exhibition Diary | The Hong Kong Art Museum that you have to visit for the exhibition catalog
Hong Kong has a rich art atmosphere
In addition to the Palace Museum
Another recommended museum is the Hong Kong Art Museum
.
I found out that their exhibition catalog is very exquisite when I was looking for a strategy
So I got one before entering each branch
Detailed introductions have been made to the key exhibits
The previously very popular Floating Wonderland has been withdrawn
But the current one is also very interesting
.
Good Things Have Shape is an exhibition that I have been visiting for a long time
There are both Chinese and Western exhibits in it
You can feel a very obvious collision between China and the West
.
Chinese Character City Rhyme is also highly recommended to spend more time
The light is not very bright
Let you focus more on reading the content of the exhibits
.
I have to praise the lighting of the exhibition
And the placement of the exhibits
Especially the lighting is very immersive
Add a lot of points to the exhibits
.
🆓No ticket required
⏳Closed on Thursdays! Say it three times on Thursday
🚇Get off at Tsim Sha Tsui or Tsim East and walk for five minutes
There is a place for free storage at the entrance🛅
All food and drink are rejected in the exhibition hall🥤You can't bring it in
The museum can also take pictures of Victoria Harbour
.
There is a Star Ferry pier nearby
Telescope🔭children at the side entrance of k11 musea

Art museum in HK, So cool
Hi guys,
I continue my blog about my trip in Hong Kong.
So, another thing to see is the art museum.
Located near the K11 big shopping mall, this museum is just cool.
You have classic exhibitions about calligraphy and history but also so temporary exhibitions such as, your life choices or some traditional pottery.
The design is modern and elegant for great pictures.
They have a outside balcony where you can see the other side of HK.
Last, it is free 😎
Go and check, peace ✌️

My new favorite art museum
The Hong Kong museum of art is now my new favourite art museum. The curator is a genius when it comes to space. Technique and immersion. Going from floor to floor really makes the viewer think and takes you on an adventure with the art pieces. Starting from magnificently preserved art from the ming dynasty on the 5th floor to immersive modern masterpieces on the ground floor, you'll find art that relates to everyone. You will find your new favourite artist in this museum. I did!

Not enough time to read every details of the art pieces, but we did have a good time here and learnt the essences of some art pieces. the amazing art museum
This is Hong Kong Museum of Art. Level 5 is the very photo worthy place to go. You can see the beautiful Victoria Harbour there and taking photos sitting of the cute and simple designed cloud chairs. The little hut has beautifully made touchable pictures. There’s a portrait play studio where you can take photos of eyes, nose, mouth (unfortunately mask must be on, so pretty much only eyes), then made your own Picasso portrait.
On level 3, there are magnificent artefacts. ancient fans made by gold, ivory, silk. There are also a lot of silver made containers, beautiful china, many beautifully paintings.
On level 2, there are some super cool calligraphy!
Before you leave, go back to the level where you come in, turn left and you will enter a children play corner where they can draw.
The building is beautifully designed, and the arts lean to the beautiful, admirable, peaceful side.
The art museum is free and needless to book. That adds to my must come back list.

Here is the Hong Kong Museum of Art. It is free of charge. It records the old China and we can know the living of people in the past by visiting this museum. I took a lot of photos in this place. Really a good place to go!

First Visit to Museum of Art After It Was Renovated for 4 Whole Years
permanent exhibitions are free as I went on Wednesday. paid for special exhibiton 10 dolar per person the road to the baroque. there are total 5 floors (excluding g/f and b/f) and there are galleries from 1st floor to 4th floor (5th floor is like playground for children). except the special exhibiton, most of the galleries offers chinese culture and art, both ancient and modern art. what make it interesting is the multimedia art form for some of the exhibitions. for example there is an exhibition which you can try to copy and write Chinese character digitally and once you finish your ‘writing’ will be projected into a wall of black with other people’s writing and it becomes a collective of Chinese scripture of many different people.
you can visit the permanent exhibition for free on Wednesday, and better to come in the morning to avoid the crowd.
it is close to museum of history and museum of science so you can also visit other places after you finish. or if you want to have a leisure time you can always walk around the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade.

Hong Kong Art of Museum ~ hipster moment
Hong Kong is a melting pot. We have different artistic gallery. Today, I highly recommend Hong Kong Art of Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui.
it has different sections including western contemporary arts and local cultural crafts and workshops.
Even though i am not an artistic person. I feel so relaxed, and broaden my horizon. At first, you put your belongings into the lockers at the entrance for free.
One section i have spent more time on related to the fashion topics. it has shown a load of pieces.
You may take a look as well.
there is so spacious, and a load ot seat to audience. taking a seat and stopping overthinking and enjoying this moment.

If you can't go outdoors in the rain, the Hong Kong Art Gallery is a good choice✨

Hong Kong Museum of Art: Miniature Treasures - The Donation of Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Fengyunxuan Collection
During the Christmas holidays 🎄, you can choose to take a break from your busy daily life and enjoy an art exhibition. The Hong Kong Museum of Art is currently hosting the 'Miniature Treasures: The Donation of Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Fengyunxuan Collection' exhibition, which is a cultural event not to be missed.
In 2023, the Hong Kong Museum of Art was honored to receive a donation of 490 sets of Chinese snuff bottles from the Fengyunxuan Collection by Ms. Sin Shek Wan Yuk. These snuff bottles are not only exquisite works of art but also a reflection of China's long history and culture 🤩.
Though small in size, snuff bottles encapsulate the ingenuity and craftsmanship of Chinese artisans. Since the early Qing Dynasty, snuff bottles have been favored by royalty and nobility, becoming precious gifts for envoys and officials. These meticulously crafted snuff bottles are unique in their materials and craftsmanship, and they carry historical stories that deepen one's understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
After visiting the snuff bottle exhibition, feel free to explore other exhibition areas of the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The museum frequently hosts various art exhibitions, covering both Chinese and Western art, offering a feast for the eyes.

Strolling through the Hong Kong Museum of Art.
Today, I visited the Hong Kong Museum of Art, ready to spend an art-filled afternoon. The museum is located in the bustling city center, with a simple and elegant exterior. As soon as I stepped inside, I was captivated by the strong artistic atmosphere.
The first-floor exhibition hall is showcasing traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting. The flowing calligraphy and profound Chinese paintings made me stop and admire. Each piece seemed to tell an ancient and long story, allowing me to feel the profoundness of traditional Chinese culture.
Then, I went to the modern art exhibition hall on the second floor. The works here are diverse in style, some abstract and imaginative, while others express reflections on reality through unique artistic techniques. One installation art piece made of colored glass fragments was particularly eye-catching, cleverly using light refraction and reflection to create a dreamy visual effect.
While browsing the exhibition, I also discovered some interesting interactive installations. For example, an artwork that allows you to change the content of the screen by touching it, letting me experience the perfect combination of art and technology.
In addition to the artworks themselves, I was also attracted by the exhibition layout of the museum. Each exhibition hall is uniquely designed, highlighting the characteristics of the works while creating a comfortable and peaceful viewing environment. Moreover, the museum provides detailed artwork introductions and explanations, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of each piece.
My visit to the Hong Kong Museum of Art was rewarding. Here, I not only appreciated many excellent artworks but also felt the charm and power of art. I believe that every art lover will find their own touch and gain here.

🏖️Environment/Facilities: Outside the Hong Kong Museum of Art in Tsim Sha Tsui, the snuff bottle-themed art installation is extended. The artist absorbed the shape and visual elements of the snuff bottles, including themes, patterns, and lines, and then reimagined them to give new life to the lifelike animal images of the snuff bottles.
💞Reason for recommendation: presents another perspective of the snuff bottle. When everyone enters this fantastic group of snuff bottles and walks through the passages, corridors, and arches in the maze, they will find interesting visual elements and landscape changes. We sincerely invite you to walk through the snuff bottle maze together and experience a unique and enjoyable artistic journey. Both adults and children will be attracted by this device and stop to watch and play together.
