Before the holiday, we have carefully planned the itinerary. For accommodation, we chose the Foshan Poly Intercontinental Hotel near Qiandeng Lake, from here you can easily reach the major popular attractions in Foshan, it is really suitable!
This hotel is very comfortable👏 The children were attracted by various entertainment facilities as soon as they arrived, and I didn't need to accompany them at all. I could chat with my friends leisurely. This state is too comfortable.

This time we stayed in the Little Chef Parent-child Theme Room. The room is dominated by warm tones. As soon as you enter the door, you can feel the warmth of home❤️ The room is equipped with HAPE toys, you can play parent-child house, and there are small tents, small horse stools and bed head decorations. The giant antlers, the entire space is full of fun and childlike, as if in a forest hut.
The spacious space makes my daughter very happy. The room is also equipped with a bathtub. I can take a bath here to relax and relieve the fatigue of the journey. At the same time, my daughter can play in the bath.

InterContinental Foshan.
The InterContinental Foshan is in a great location. There are supermarkets and shopping malls nearby, and it's close to Qiandeng Lake. I heard that the properties around here are the most expensive in Foshan. I used points to book three nights, and the front desk generously gave me a free breakfast. If you buy it separately, it's CNY 98 per person.
The room I got had a view of Qiandeng Lake, which was really nice, especially at night.

Last night, I suddenly thought that as a long-time hotel enthusiast (Marriott Lifetime Platinum, Hilton Diamond, Shangri-La Diamond, and I won't list all the high-tier cards I've had), I really should name my hotel sharing series because I very much enjoy weekend Staycations and
one year I almost lived in hotels all year round. So, I came up with this name - Home Away From Home (continuously updated, follow for more). The opening of this series (I won't change the names of the ones I've shared before) is one of my favorite brands this summer - InterContinental. The first one in Foshan is InterContinental Foshan Poly Thousand Lantern Lake.
The first impression this hotel gave me is 'Old Money'.
Huge brand carpet, Baroque style lobby, the logo surrounded by greenery right opposite the lobby, to the European style lounge design of the InterContinental Club, all reveal an old-fashioned (neutral term) luxury.
The second impression is the view from the window, occupying an excellent position on Thousand Lantern Lake. From the windows on both sides of the club, you can see the panoramic view of Thousand Lantern Lake, which is very pleasing to the eye, both day and night.
The third impression is the relatively comfortable executive lounge. During the summer, it's hard to find a quiet and comfortable lounge with convenient dining, and IC is second to none. Whether it's afternoon tea or happy hour, it's not noisy, and the food is quite sufficient. The selection of drinks is also not bad. Drinking wine, enjoying the meal, and watching the lights of Thousand Lantern Lake come on (strongly recommend booking an executive room or purchasing privileges).
The fourth impression is the full vacation vibe. Next to the IC logo opposite the hotel lobby, there is a path that connects to the walking path of Thousand Lantern Lake, convenient for guests to take a walk by the lake. The outdoor swimming pool, with its open view and quiet surroundings, along with the all-day dining lounge (breakfast at Thousand Lantern Lake, all-day restaurant), makes for a weekend that feels like a full day's recharge and full revival.
Finally, be sure to slide to the end, the slippers here are truly one of the most comfortable hotel slippers I've ever worn.

The room renovation plan of Foshan Poly Intercontinental Hotel is underway, and some floors have completed a comprehensive renovation and are open for reservation. This time back to Foshan, I tried the brand new deluxe room, which is quite spacious and comfortable for business travelers.
1. The deluxe room has opened two floors in advance, in addition to the deluxe room, there are a few suites, all newly renovated. The view of the QianDeng Lake from the deluxe room is good, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the QianDeng Lake, a couch by the bed, and a JBL Bluetooth speaker at the head of the bed. The hardware standard of Intercontinental is guaranteed;
2. It is worth mentioning that booking a deluxe room enjoys the treatment of the executive lounge. The executive lounge is currently open for afternoon tea and happy hour, with unlimited coffee and tea during business hours. The space is spacious, with separate leisure and dining areas, and the view is directly facing QianDeng Lake. I personally think this Intercontinental's executive lounge is not bad, afternoon tea is buffet style, with several desserts, unlimited coffee and tea, and the food during happy hour is generous, which can be enjoyed as dinner;
3. In terms of dining, three new concept restaurants have been launched in April this year, including the all-day restaurant 'Lake. Shore', casual restaurant & bar 'Lamp Lake No.20', coffee & French dessert shop 'SUGAR'. No matter which restaurant, it is very attractive, not only the food, but also the beautiful photos;
4. The quality of the buffet at 'Lake. Shore' has been maintained since its opening. The buffet price has been adjusted according to the consumption level of Foshan market. Although the price has dropped a bit, the quality is visibly good. The current single-person buffet dinner price is 358, the price will be cheaper for two people on weekdays, and the restaurant has also launched a ten-person group buffet dinner, which is very suitable for team building and employee reward dinners;
5. The desserts at 'SUGAR' are well made, with indoor and outdoor seating, the decoration style is very Lingnan, with Manchu windows and green plants as decoration, presenting a very comfortable and cozy dining bar atmosphere. The single-person afternoon tea set (coffee plus dessert) starts at 48 yuan, many office buildings often visit here on weekdays, and it is also suitable for bloggers to check in and take pictures.
