At that moment, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva faintly appeared in a cave by the sea and handed him a wish-fulfilling jewel and a crystal rosary, saying, "You cannot see my whole body, but if you go up the mountain for several hundred steps, you will find two bamboo trees. Go there." That place is said to be the site of Wontongbojeon Hall. We visited Yangyang Shi to check out this unique temple located along the coast of South Korea. There are only 2 temples located near the coast in South Korea and this is one of them. Here you can see Guanyin, a Bodhisattva associated with compassion. She is the East Asian representation of Avalokiteśvara. The climbs up to the temple was gentle. There were many elderlies as well.
