Had a wonderful dinner with the youth on the Future Barbados initiative at the historic Nidhe Israel Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in the western hemisphere. Here we’re reminded of the resilience that defines Barbados. Great to meet young entrepreneurs and hear their ideas and ongoing projects on how to boost growth and resilience for the country. We are excited to announce that FutureBARBADOS recently signed an MOU with Blue Action, focusing on expanding Blue Action’s Conservation Cove and its technology transfer offering to Barbados. Conservation Cove is our hub for restoring marine and coastal resources and fostering ecopreneurship through education and workforce development. Blue Action Accelerator will also bring the latest climate and Blue economy technologies to Barbados to build the Blue economy and imbed climate resilient technology in the country. We have teamed up with FutureBARBADOS, a think tank from the Prime Minister’s Office in Barbados, to develop and accelerate climate-resilient technologies and coastal resilience models across the Caribbean.  Our collaboration aims to build the blue and green economy, support local entrepreneurs, and promote innovative technologies in Barbados, The Bahamas, and the wider Caribbean. “Expanding our model to Barbados aligns the region around sustainability principles. We are thrilled to work alongside Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and her team.” Rupert Hayward. FutureBARBADOS seeks to combine talent with public sector support to tackle significant challenges and accelerate valuable innovations. The new partnership will collaborate on funding, investment, and grant opportunities and exchange innovative companies and technologies to drive the resilience goals of Barbados and the Caribbean Region.
