The AIT Global Water & Sanitation Center (AITGWSC), International Training Network -- ITN-BUET, and Innovative Solution Pvt. Ltd (ISPL) recently jointly organized a 5-day "Technical Training on the Integrated Municipal Information System (#IMIS) Development and Deployment". The technical training was delivered to Software/IT professionals from Streams Tech Ltd, Tiller, Geo-Planning for Advanced Development (GPAD) Ltd, SNV, ITN-BUET, eMythMakers.com, and EQMS Consulting Limited This workshop aimed to empower local private partners with the technical expertise to effectively deploy #IMIS. By equipping participants with advanced skills, the training supports the vision of #spdssb: "To build a robust, reliable, and nationally owned integrated public data system (#PDS) for sanitation to assist the Government of Bangladesh in planning, resource mobilization, budgeting, service delivery, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting." IMIS Base version as a digital public goods (#DPG) and a subnational public data system for SPDSSB is set to be released as an #opensource software. 🌟 Advancing Excellence: ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Gap Analysis at Plant Quarantine Station, Chittagong Sea Port 🌟 We are delighted to share that a dedicated team of Laboratory Technical Professionals and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Assessors recently visited the Plant Quarantine Station at Chittagong Sea Port, under the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE). This important visit was part of the project titled: "Consultation Services for Developing Policy/Regulatory Framework, Strategic Action Plan, Protocol, etc., for the Accreditation Process" (Package No. SD/PARTNER-DAE/08). The purpose of the visit was to carry out a comprehensive gap analysis to align the station’s operations and practices with the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards for laboratory testing and calibration. The team focused on: ✨ Enhancing operational systems to meet accreditation requirements. ✨ Identifying opportunities to strengthen laboratory infrastructure. ✨ Encouraging best practices in quality management. ✨ Supporting capacity building through personnel training and development. ✨ Ensuring documentation systems are robust and aligned with global standards. On November 20, 2024, EQMS Consulting Limited's GIS and Remote Sensing Department proudly partnered with the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) to celebrate GIS Day with a One-Day Fundamental GIS Training Program. This impactful event marked a significant milestone in promoting geospatial learning and awareness among aspiring professionals. Event Highlights Inauguration Ceremony: The event was inaugurated by Mr. Tauhidul Hasan, Executive Director of EQMS Consulting Limited, whose presence underscored EQMS’s commitment to fostering geospatial knowledge and capacity-building. The event was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of UITS, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, who emphasized the transformative role of GIS in engineering and decision-making. Special guests included Md. Tarukul Islam, Proctor of UITS, and Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
