Fish, poultry, and livestock producers in Bangladesh and around the world face growing challenges as food demand surges, while feed options for these animals remain limited. Greensect, our SBU, offers an innovative solution: Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae as an alternative feed. But what sets it apart from traditional options? 🔹 Resource Efficiency: Uses 95% less water and land. 🔹 Production Efficiency: Produces 200g of protein per kg of larvae. 🔹 Eco-Friendly: Emits 90% less greenhouse gases. 🔹 Waste Recycling: Feeds on food waste—no additional feed required. 🔹 Cost-Effective: More affordable for the farmers. Bangladesh wastes over 14 million tons of food annually. By cultivating BSF on this untapped resource, Greensect not only provides a cost-effective feed for the industry but also promotes a circular economy. #animalfeed #farming #livestockfarming #sustainability #Greensect #venturecapital #entrepreneurship #DIVC

We’re excited to share that Roko Bošnjak, a renowned black soldier fly (BSF) expert, flew all the way from the UK to lend his expertise to our project at Greensect. His fresh perspectives have been invaluable in helping us improve efficiency and optimize our operations. Roko also provided us with crucial guidelines for refining our data collection processes, setting us up for even more success. We’re truly grateful for his support and the impact he’s made on our journey toward sustainable innovation.

7 months after inauguration, we’re thrilled to announce that we have reached full capacity of production for our plant. We are now giving a second life to 1 tonne of food waste per day! As we continue to fine-tune our hive, our next step is to focus on making the farm more efficient, decreasing labor tasks, and continuing our research and development. For any inquiries, feel free to send us a message—we’re excited to connect and collaborate! 🪰

We're thrilled to announce the start of a game-changing journey that aims to revolutionize agriculture in Bangladesh and beyond. Our focus? The incredible Black Soldier Fly. This little insect allows us to turn food waste into essential nutrients for livestock and natural compost for our soils. Our approach is all about sustainability. It not only gives a new purpose to food waste but also uses minimal water, soil, and electricity compared to traditional protein sources like soy. At a time when farmers are dealing with rising costs, some resort to feeding livestock with less-than-ideal options like fish scraps and other by-products. The protein from the Black Soldier Fly, combined with quality ingredients, provides a healthier choice for poultry, fish, and shrimp feeds. Curious about how this tiny insect can make a big impact on Bangladesh's agriculture? Hit the follow button and join us on this exciting journey!
