🌏✨This month, I was honored to join #D4N2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka—a remarkable gathering of policymakers, experts, students, and practitioners across South Asia who came together to connect the dots across systems to improve diets and nutrition in the region. The evidence and insights shared over those three days showed us the potential to move the needle toward positive nutrition outcomes. The challenge now lies in answering the "how"—how can we synergize actions across food systems to deliver results, minimize trade-offs, bridge inequalities, and ensure no one is left behind? I closed the conference with an important message: The cost of inaction is more than the cost of action. The work we do today is not just for the present but creates lasting impacts for generations. Our investments, priorities, and actions must reflect the values they hold for the future. Congratulations to the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the 30 co-hosts for organizing such a meaningful event. Thank you to everyone who participated, in person or virtually. I look forward to #D4N2025 and possibly, expanding this dialogue to other regions.
