This work is a team effort made possible with the collaboration of Estefanía Coronado Calero, Cristina C. and Shuaib Siddiqui 📅 Date: Wednesday, 11 December 🕓 Time: 4:00 – 5:30 PM 📍 Session: SAC-CLOUD-NET-S04: Applications in Cloud and Networking Systems, Suite 1.54 (CTICC) 🌟 Key Highlights from the Paper: Javier and the team address a critical 6G challenge: resource distribution and orchestration across multi-access edge computing (MEC) environments. Their proposed MEO (MEC Orchestrator) enhances the ETSI MEC architecture to meet the demands of federated and distributed MEC systems. Contributions: 🔶 A cloud-native, platform-agnostic orchestrator aligned with GSMA and ETSI MEC federation standards. 🔶 A novel MEO-to-MEO interface enabling seamless application migration across MEC systems. 🔶 Superior performance with 95% success in instantiation and 93.3% success in migration requests under high demand scenarios—outperforming baseline Kubernetes schedulers.
